This tour is amazing - It was such a blast! The food was absolutely delicious—each stop had something unique and tasty. Can't remember the names of the food because it's in Thai but every dish tasted like heaven. Our guide was fantastic—super knowledgeable, friendly, and spoke great English. She had awesome stories about the food and culture, answered all our questions, and made the whole experience feel like hanging out with a local friend. The route was spot-on. Everything was well-organized, the transport was awesome. We get to ride a red truck which was wild because there's no seatbelt but super fun. Overall, this tour was everything! Totally recommend it if you want to dive into the city's food and cultural scene!

A Flavorful Adventure! - The Chiang Mai food tour was an absolute gem, offering a fantastic array of delicious, local dishes that showcased the best of Northern Thai cuisine. Each stop featured tasty and unique flavors, from savory curries to intriguing street snacks. Our guide, Moui, was outstanding—knowledgeable, friendly, and fluent in English, making the experience both informative and enjoyable. She patiently answered our questions and added engaging insights throughout the tour. The route was brilliantly planned, leading us through vibrant, less-touristy areas that felt authentically local. Traveling in the charming red truck and interacting with passionate local vendors further enriched the experience. Overall, it was a superb way to explore Chiang Mai’s culinary scene in an authentic and memorable way. Highly recommended!

Outstanding! - This was possibly the best food tour we have done of many in SE Asia. Our guide Aim was great--knowledgeable and fun. You need to pace yourself as there is a *lot* of food to eat. The walk through the market is a nice break from the food, and people who aren't familiar with the fruits and vegetables of SE Asia will be especially interested. A great experience.

Eye opening - Great food with an amazing guide. You won’t be disappointed if you go. Aim took us to so many local restaurants I would have never discovered on our own. You know it’s a great spot when we are the only locals there. Very educational too.

Bring your appetite - This is the second food tour I've done with A Chef's Tour. I knew to expect a lot of food, so I prepared myself. I didn't prepare enough! The tour is designed for eight, and I was the only one who booked that evening, so I had to eat everything or take it home. It was more food than even Joey Chestnut could down. Nonetheless, I learned a lot about Northern Thai cuisine, and I enjoyed that there were in-depth cultural content and stories, something I felt the Bangkok tour lacked.

An excellent evening experiencing Thai food - A fabulous evening of food, food and lots of lovely food!! Plenty of options to try along the way as well as a visit to a market with fresh produce and spices. Tasting size portions were good so you could try everything. Transport in a red taxi made the tour very easy . Our guide was very knowledgeable and everything ran smoothly.

Try this is you want to try more than “typical” Thai food! - Great tour for getting off the beaten path. We had dishes we would never have tried on our own. There was SO MUCH food offered - we honestly could not finish everything, but it was fun to experience and learn about the local cuisine!

Great guide food was alright - Overall the food was decent nothing particularly amazing. The portion sizes are huge though and protein heavy so we couldn’t really finish everything at each of the 6 restaurants we went to. Our guide aim was super knowledgeable and gave us a mini history lesson of the food of chiang mai and it was pretty cool to be riding in a songthaew restaurant to restaurant.

Food tour in Chiang Mai - Great night of fun and food. Had a little trouble finding our guide as she wasn't wearing the coloured t-shirt that we were told but the food was great and we had an enjoyable time.
