• Alcantara River Park - Established in 2001, the Alcantara River Park is a wetland in Sicily, replacing a previous reserve. It encompasses parts of the metropolitan areas of Messina and Catania, forming the Alcantara River basin. Situated on Etna’s northern slope, its purpose is to protect and enhance the natural environment.
• Parco dell’Etna - The excursion begins with exploring ancient basalt lava flows, volcanic caves, and old-growth forests, followed by experiencing the flavors and aromas of Sicily. Visitors will explore areas of historic volcanic activity, including Hornitos, a semi-volcano, and a state shelter. The lunar-like landscape of “Bove Valley” and the black ash desert promise a memorable day. The tour concludes with tastings of honey, wines, and traditional Sicilian products.
• Valle del Bove - Located on the eastern side of Etna’s volcanic structure, the Valle del Bove is a vast basin within the protected Etna Park, in the municipality of Zafferana Etnea (CT).
