Amazing day at Sidon and Tyre, highly recommended - Tyre was the most impressive part of the trip, but everything was very nice. On the way to Sidon we stopped for breakfast at a very nice place with amazing food. All the local guides were super nice, and Hassane our guide during the elections whole tour was absolutely amazing.

Best adventure ever with Kamil! - I strongly recommend this tour company and especially Kamil! I booked twice with them. The first was to Baalbek, Anjar, and Ksara! It was a beautiful drive with excellent conversation and education along the way. The guides provided are very knowledgeable and friendly. I was lucky enough to have Kamil for two tours in a row showing not only excellent professionalism, but true Lebanese hospitality! The second tour being Sidon, Tyre, and Maghdouche. It’s a fun and easy way to see a huge part of Lebanon and the different influences involved both historically and today. Highly recommended! I loved every minute!

Beautifull day - Our day trip to Sidon, Magdouche and Tyre with Lebanon Tours and Travels was great. We started in Sidon with visit of the crusader castle, the souk, the soap museum. The weather was helpful and a lot of Sunshine. Our Next stop was Tyre and the Guide Jihad was very knowledgeable. Booths sites in Tyre were amazing. We did not stop at Magouche because our flight was a bit early and we need to be dropped at the airport no later then 4.00pm I recommend using Lebanon Tours when visiting Lebanon

A full and fun day trip to Southern Lebanon - Comfortable vehicle, nice balanced itinerary, fun and knowledgeable guide and great food for lunch. What more do you need? It is a great time to visit as the usual traffic problems are almost never seen and the foreign exchange rate is extremely advantageous to tourists - not to mention that the country needs tourism now more than ever!

Amazing sites but... - We were very much looking forward to the private tour to Baalbek that we had arranged. Our tour guide picked us up at our hotel on time, we got into the car, and as we drove away, he informed us that we would not be going to Baalbek due to a snowstorm that closed the roads, and instead we'd be going on the tour to Tyre, etc. The Tyre tour had been our second choice, however, we were pretty annoyed that we were not told about the change until that moment, when we were captive audiences in the car. I had confirmed via email the night before, at which point the tour company could have informed us of the change. Or the guide could have told us upon pick up, before getting into the car. Not good customer service. We were okay with just rolling with it, excited to see other cool places and to learn about these incredibly historic sites. But, our driver really didn't know about the places we stopped in Maghdouche and Sidon, and in fact, he often gave false information. We had done a good bit of reading before we arrived and so we could tell the difference between a Phoenician and Crusader site! He did know his way around the souk in Sidon, so that was good. He was enthusiastic, but for a private tour, I would expect that our tour guide would actually have some knowledge about where he was guiding. That was really disappointing. Once we arrived in Tyre, we were combined with several other private tours from the same company, and guided by a very knowledgable archeologist. Tyre is a magnificent site, layered with history that is apparent the moment you see the layers of Phoenician and Greek and Roman ruins right below your feet. Access to this site was more generous (lax) than other Roman sites I have visited in other countries, which was enjoyable. We learned a lot from the archeologist, who also had a great sense of humor and made the ancient site relatable. I wish we had just taken (and paid less for) a group tour, as this is what the Tyre visit actually was. In summary, the crusader castle on the edge of the Mediterranean in Sidon is a visually compelling site, the souk in Sidon is fun and contains a few interested sites (historically and otherwise) within. Maghdouche is a brand new and unfinished church, not much to see there, other than the cave where apparently Mary awaited her son. Tyre is spectacular, memorable. All would have been so much better with a knowledgable tour guide. 4 starts for the sites (5 for Sidon and Tyre), 1 star for the guide, 1 star for the company = my 2 star rating.
