- Azienda Agricola La Lastra - In the cellar, we will discuss the fundamental principles of quality winemaking, at all the crucial stages of the grape-to-wine process: de-stemming-crushing, alcoholic fermentation, maceration, malolactic fermentation, racking, maturation, and ageing.

Immersed in the magical atmosphere of rural Tuscany, just a stone’s throw from the old town of medieval Siena, the experience is a journey into the history, culture, tradition, and science that give life to every bottle of our organic wine.
During the winery tour we will analyze together the characteristics of the vineyard agro-ecosystem and the techniques used to preserve and regenerate rural resources.
In our old wine cellar, we will take you through the fascinating world of winemaking and the secrets behind crafting quality wine.
The tour will end in our tasting room, where you will grasp all the organoleptic nuances of our young and vintage wines. Each glass will be paired with the best seasonal Tuscan products, to delight your palate and nourish your soul.

Don't skip this tour in Siena! - The wine was amazing! The food was amazing! But the tour was the highlight. It was so great to learn about the process of winemaking and walk the grounds. We really enjoyed every minute of the tour. I would recommend this to everyone!

Best wine experience in Siena! - If you’re looking for a winery tour in Siena, I can’t recommend Azienda La Lastra enough. Maia was the absolute best tour guide, she was so informative and passionate about their winemaking and olive oil making process. I’ve been to many winery tours but none top La Lastra. My daughter was not a fan of wine and Maia said she was going to change her life by the end of the tour and indeed she did! The care and passion that goes into their process is so impressive and makes you appreciate their delicate wine and olive oil all the more. After the tour you are treated to a homemade meal and desert that is out of this world. We will definitely be coming back to La Lastra next time we’re in Siena!

Beautiful vineyard close to Siena - Amazing tour just a short taxi ride from Siena centre. Beautiful setting in a vineyard with amazing views. Our tour guide was amazing, so knowledgeable, informative and personable. It was lovely to spend the time here in the later afternoon. Very tasty wine and generous with pouring and we were so impressed with the food that was served as well, it was super tasty and a great addition to the wine tastings. This was definitely a highlight of all of ours.

Fabulous, intimate vineyard experience - We had such a wonderful experience at La Lastra. From the moment we were greeted to the moment we left, everyone was so kind and welcoming. The tour itself was very detailed, honest and informative. We learnt so much which we didn’t even know we needed to learn. Our most Maja (sorry if I’ve spelt your name wrong) was amazing, kind and funny and extremely thorough. She told us in detail
About the process of wine making and what makes them unique. The wine itself was delicious and the food provided was so yummy. The whole afternoon was exactly what we wanted. We were lucky enough to be in a small group of 4, so it felt very intimate and special. If you’re looking for a wine tour in siena. Don’t look anywhere else. This is the one!

Brilliant experience! - Myself and my family spent a wonderful afternoon here on the tour and wine tasting session. It was an amazing experience! Mya our tour guide brought us around the vineyard to show us the grapes and how the grapes were organically cut and nurtured. We went into the cellar then were Mya explained the entire process from planting growing harvesting fermenting and ageing the wine. She gave such interesting facts about the organic process in particular and even gave us a smell of a new wine freshly put into a barrel :) We then went into the wine tasting room which was lovely and air conditioned which we needed since it was nearly 40degrees outside! We tried five different wines all grown and fermented at their vineyard, each were amazing! We also got to try the organic virgin olive oil which they also grew there with some bread which was just delicious. We really couldn’t ask for a better hostess and a better way to spend the afternoon. Thank you so much to Mya for this incredible experience we couldn’t recommend it enough!

Amazing experience - We had the absolutely best experience with this winery!!! They were so accommodating to us being a little late and the tour was exceptional. They are so knowledge, friendly, and personable! The meal we had was my favorite meal I had the whole time in Italy, such fresh ingredients. The wine was like nothing you’ll taste, so smooth and they ship bottles back for you!! 10/10 recommend coming here

Amazing wine tasting and your - Amazing amazing amazing - we were treated to an amazing tour - our guide a lovely lady from Athens was so engaging and knowledgeable. Service with a smile and the tasting of 7 wines … delightful - the food superb - and only 10 minutes from Siena centre - a must for anyone wine lover or not - worth every penny. Can’t rate this high enough

Top quality tour, wines, scenery with passionate and knowledgeable guide. - The tour is one very well organised and presented providing an overview of the history and current production, maintaining organic principles for healthy environment and consumption and benefits and challenges being managed. Wines and meal is delicious with generous portions of both in a beautiful rural setting only minutes from Siena by taxi if you don’t have a car (€10). Great-value beautiful tour - A great experience from start to finish. Small team (family), very welcoming, knowledgable (of course) and all in an incredibly beautiful setting. Very good value also in terms of variety of wines to sample and all served with a tasty, freshly made pasta lunch. Couldn't recommend more highly!

Beautiful scenery, lovely people, and delicious wine! - We couldn't have been happier with our choice to visit Azienda Agricola La Lastra. It was close to where we were staying in Siena, the cost was affordable, and the experience was unforgettable. In addition to the stunning beauty of the place, our guide for the tour, Maya, provided a fascinating overview of La Lastra's commitment to organic and sustainable practices. She gave an enthusiastic and informative introduction to La Lastra's wine and operating practices. As for the wine, it was absolutely delicious. We bought a few bottles to take with us. Maya even converted us to liking their Merlot, something we never would have thought possible. If you're in or around Siena, do yourself a favor and take three hours and visit La Lastra. I'm certain that you'll be glad that you did.
