A Morning Above the Tuscan Hills
As the first light of dawn kisses the Tuscan countryside, there’s no better way to start your day than by soaring above the rolling hills in a hot air balloon. The balloon ride offers a serene escape from the bustling streets of Siena, lifting you gently into the sky where the world below transforms into a patchwork of vineyards, olive groves, and medieval villages. The experience begins early, with flights available from 6:00 AM to 9:30 AM, allowing you to witness the sun’s golden rays stretch across the landscape.
The thrill of ascending to 2,000 feet is matched only by the tranquility of floating silently above the earth. As you drift with the wind, the views are nothing short of spectacular. The gentle hills, dotted with cypress trees and ancient castles, unfold beneath you like a Renaissance painting. Upon landing, a celebratory Champagne toast awaits, accompanied by a delightful picnic-style breakfast featuring local delicacies. This is not just a flight; it’s a journey into the heart of Tuscany, where every moment is a feast for the senses.
“Amazing views and fabulous experience. Magnificent! What a wonderful morning. Pickup/return from hotel in Florence was easy to arrange and on time. Watching the balloons be prepared for flight as the sun rose over the valley was exciting. Our pilot skilfully guided our basket over the hillside and upwards to the most beautiful view of Tuscany. After landing we were given a champagne breakfast with the most amazing pastries. I highly recommend this adventure company as they are very efficient, excellent communication, reasonably priced and the pilot and support crew were amazing.” - Reviewed on 2024-10-19

Available from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM, this escorted tour is a journey through time and taste, offering a perfect blend of history, art, and gastronomy.
Begin your adventure in the enchanting village of San Gimignano, where medieval towers rise against the azure sky. The tour then leads you to Monteriggioni, a charming fortress-town where history whispers through its ancient walls. As you travel through the Chianti hills, the landscape transforms into a tapestry of vineyards and olive groves, setting the stage for a sumptuous Tuscan lunch at a local winery.
The highlight of the day is undoubtedly the wine tasting, where you’ll sample three exquisite Chianti wines, each paired with traditional Tuscan fare. The experience is a celebration of the region’s rich culinary heritage, offering a taste of Tuscany’s soul in every sip and bite. As the sun sets, casting a warm glow over the vineyards, you’ll find yourself immersed in the magic of this timeless land.
“Satisfaction Guaranteed with Sandro - This was a wonderful addition to our trip to Italy. San Gimignano really is the postcard of Tuscany - the walls are amazing, the architecture is beautiful, the churches are astounding, and the gelato was to die for! Monteriggioni is a small but lovely fortress-town, with scenic views from the walls. The winery we stopped at was a delight - great food, excellent wine, and Simone did an amazing job teaching us about their process. Lastly, we stopped at Siena, which was a joy to visit. The Campos was beautiful, the Palazzo Pubblico and its small museum was fun, and the walking tour with Lucia was stellar. Getting to learn about the racing, the attempt to build the new cathedral, and the art of the existing cathedral was wonderful. All in all, Sandro was an excellent tour guide to Tuscany, and Sergio did a great job driving us.” - Reviewed on 2024-11-01
