Great sunset ride on the... - Great sunset ride on the beach ! Champagne once we reached the far end. Our guide made sure we were all comfortable and safe. I would recommend this tour .

Great experience! - This was our second experience with Derek and his company and we (again) had a fantastic time. Derek made sure we were safe and had lots of fun.

Worth doing! - Fun time! Derek and Chad were great hosts, always looking out for everyone. First time on an e-bike and we're hooked! We saw a beautiful sunset, and Derek and Chad were very accommodating in taking pictures! Just a heads up, there is no $5 flat rate parking as your e-mail confirmation states. We found free parking near the Spearfish Grille located nearby.

Just book it, you will love it! - We had a fabulous experience! Derek was informative, entertaining & personable. The sunset was gorgeous, the ride was easy and fun. Would 100% do it again, and likely do the State Park tour as well. Derek was also full of local knowledge & made great recommendations for dining & other places to visit during our stay.

A great way to view the sunset - Our host was incredibly patient and helped us understand the bikes and enjoy the ride. The beach has some excellent views and we saw things we would have missed as a tourist.

A Tour Worth Waiting Fof - A trip more than worth waiting for! Due to the Daylight Saving Time change, our March 9 trip departed an hour later than expected. Derek, our guide, had made earnest attempts to contact us about this, but we simply missed them. Our fault entirely! So we arrived an hour too early, and almost left, since we thought it wasn't happening. So glad we didn't! Derek arrived exactly on the new schedule, and off we went. As others have said, the ride is absolutely lovely. The sunset was great, and the return beach ride in twilight was magical. Derek was knowledgeable, personable, and entirely alert to the needs of the riders on this tour. And he's doing this without the support of two main colleagues, due to injury and a family death. Long days for him -- but he wasn't in any way complaining, and if we hadn't asked, we wouldn't have known it. As a former chef, he made some excellent restaurant recommendations at tour's end, and it turns out that by luck, we had eaten dinner the previous night at the place he calls the best on Siesta Key (and our experience matched that). This sunset tour will no doubt be a highlight of our vacation here, and we would recommend that anyone else coming here absolutely do this. -- Dick Tobin and Peggy Wilson

Disappointed! - We had issues with 4 out of the 6 e-bikes we were given. Lights didn’t work on two, could not downshift on one, one was missing a water bottle holder. We had 20 people on the tour and those at the end of the group had no guide to support them. Great tour but equipment was not optimal and there should have been two guides one at the front leading the group and a second in the rear ensuring all members were safe. Also, we were promised pictures and never received them. The two riders with no light had to ride down the beach in the dark with no support.

Disappointing - We did not have a good experience. 5 out of the 6 e-bikes had some kind of issue be it lights that did not work, gear assist did not shift down, or missing water bottle holder. Reached out to tour operator about these issues as well as pictures that were not provided, as per the website description. I did not receive any return communication. Also, there were 20 bikers on this tour and only one guide which left those in the back lagging behind without guidance.

They cancelled TWO tImes this month, both last minute! - Last week, we drove 30 minutes for a 4:30 tour, only to find out the start time was incorrect due to daylight savings...it should have been 6:00. Not a huge issue, as we were able to spend time nearby. However, 20 minutes before the tour, it was canceled due to potential weather in a nearby city- Siesta Key was beautiful. I could have overlooked that, but they abruptly cancelled again last night, 30 minutes AFTER the tour was to begin. Fifteen of us were waiting, wasting our last night in a parking lot with no tour. Communication was poor throughout, as I called and texted earlier in the day to confirm details and received no response. At 6:00, when no one showed up, everyones' calls went unanswered and the voicemail was full. Another guest shared that the guide had texted about a car accident and said he’d be 15 minutes late. Half the group left, but seven of us stayed since it was our last night and we had no backup plans. Shortly after, cancellation notices were sent through Viator. No word from the owner. To make matters worse, others in our group had also been given incorrect start times and had been waiting even longer, paying ridiulous parking fees. Bottom line: 1 time is forgivable, 2 times is a pattern. Communication is unreliable and there is no clear contingency plan. After two failed experiences in one month and a significant amount of wasted time, I won’t be booking again.
