- Mineral Museum - Hungary’s largest and most beautiful private collection has been on display since June 1986 in the center of Siófok, under the 10th Kálmán Promenade. The state-protected collection has approximately 3,000 minerals in its exhibition storage, many of which are returning guests. They are pleased to discover the significant material enrichment in the exhibition each year, as it is constantly expanding as a living museum. Especially on the cooler days of summer, many people visit, as people who are sensitive to natural beauties will visit this world-famous collection for their Balaton vacation.

The allure of the exhibits on display is certain to captivate everyone enamored by the enchantment of minerals. Housed across a spacious area, the minerals grace 54 display cases distributed throughout 5 rooms - Hungary, the World, the Highlands, Cavnic Minerals and further Transylvanian minerals like the Hours, Baia Mare, and Upper Mine. Given the array of mining blooms originating from Transylvania, it is arguably the most comprehensive private collection globally. The collection includes several benchmark specimens (for example, Kochsándor) further establishing the museum’s uniqueness. This collection does not yet hold a distinguished position among the museums in Hungary in need of support, yet tens of thousands of other private collections are yearning for exposure. Maybe a benefactor will come along recognizing that this national gem deserves backing and consequent enrichment.
