Our unique Off Road adventure takes you deep into the heart of Fiji using specially designed vehicles. Your guides will enliven the trip by sharing the fascinating history of the area and introducing you to the traditional Fijian way of life.
Venturing off the beaten path allows you to personally experience the historical and geological sites that have remained untouched since ancient times.
The Off Road Cave Safari is a half-day expedition (4.5 hours) that culminates in a spectacular visit to Fiji’s most stunning cave system, the Naihehe Cave.
An integral part of this journey is requesting permission from the Bete (priests) before exploring the cave system.
Your guides will provide an in-depth understanding of the role these caves held during the Fijian wars and the importance of this region in Fiji’s final war.

Amazing tour and so informative - I couldn't rate this tour highly enough. From the moment Ace picked us up in the bus we were entertained and informed the entire day. Our 4WD driver Zac showed us all of the sights on the way and took the time to tell us about the history and landmarks along the way. The had a ceremony with the local village priest that gave us permission to enter the cave. Tia then took us on the tour through the cave, which was so informative, interesting and funny. A wonderful freshly cooked lunch was then had before we headed back, with Moses and Tia.
I would highly recommend this to families, was a truly amazing experience.

Had a great time! - A wonderful guided tour with knowledgeable staff. The countryside scenery was beautiful and the guide gave us lots of useful information about the people. We participated in a kava ceremonly and found the cave fascinating.

AMAZING!! - Had an amazing day!! The basin just beautiful and was really looked after by Moses and Tia Maria. Lunch was amazing as well. Would highly recommend especially to gain an insight into the history and culture of Fiji as well.

Unique Experience through Fijian coastal sceneries and villages - I recommend this unique experience to everyone. The route passes by awesome coastal sceneries and Fijian villages. The beach where we stopped is an ideal location for a relaxing swim even for small children. Tupi, Ecotrax’ reservation head is very responsive and communicates in a timely manner regarding the booking. Brittany, Loz and Leyla made sure our ride is safe and enjoyable. They even provided us with some historical background. The safety talk by Mandy gave us assurance that Ecotrax values safety.

Highly Recommend A+++ - We are so glad we received information for this tour at the Shangri-La Resort. Clear information provided on what to expect and bring and a very reasonable cost for half a day. We were picked up on a very comfortable van by Ace and taken 15 minutes to town to sign in etc. Back on the bus for about 20 minutes with a guide explaining some really interesting facts about the local area and answering questions that we had. We then had a short speed boat trip across the lake and those who needed help getting off or on were provided with a gentle hand. Terry and SpongeBob then took us off road in a Bula Air van (haha) and stopped to pass some treats to local village kids on our trek to the cave. We were explained customs in entering a new village, meeting the Priest for blessing prior to entering the cave. The cave tour was amazing. Best to wear water shoes and shorts as water can go up to your knees in one part and only one part we had to crab crawl under. The lunch provided had a huge variety of local fresh foods which was incredible and then we did the reverse trip back. Picked up 8am. Returned home at 2:45pm. Highly recommend for an authentic experience!

My Shoes Got Wet - This was one of two highlights for us on our trip to Fiji. The guides were amazing, the weather was great, the food was stellar, and the cave itself was impressive.
Listen out for the sound of rocks being dropped in the stream.
One tip - be better than me and bring footwear that can get wet.

Fantastic Tour! - One of the best tours I’ve been on! Tia and Moses had a wealth of knowledge and were so generous sharing their history and culture. We had so much fun and BBQ has never tasted so good! Definitely recommend

Naihehe cave adventures - Tia and Moses were amazing. Fabulous trip. Highly recommend. The caves were in credible. The drive up is filled with information and you get to see how farms are run and worked

A wonderful experience - Highly recommend this experience. The four wheel drive was great. There were many beautiful sights to see along the way and it was wonderful to say Bula to the local people in the village and wave or high five them. Lovely connections with the village. The cave was amazing. It kept going and going. Loved the stories and culture of the village and caves. There is some crouching down to get through so you have to be agile.
I RECOMMEND WATER/REEF SHOES!
As you do walk through water and some areas are slippery.
Lunch was a hit too!!

The Best Cave Tour Ever - The views were amazing and the cave was extraordinary beautiful. love the tour guide Tina i guess that's the name and Mojee the driver and also my our driver/chef who made a beautiful lunch Zack. lunch was delicious very healthy and yummy. first time being in the valley and I am definitely gonna do it again.
