Sigiriya: The Ancient Rock Fortress - After checking out from the hotel, the journey will proceed to Sigiriya, one of Sri Lanka’s most renowned and captivating sites. Sigiriya translates to ‘lion’s rock,’ and the rock stands approximately 200 meters tall. Historically, it served as a kingdom for King Kashyapa in the 5th century. This promises to be an extraordinary day! Explore the ancient frescoes, the Sanskrit-inscribed mirror wall, and the massive stone lion paws that guard the climb to the top. The panoramic views from the summit are unparalleled, offering a journey through time as the ruins are explored. From this vantage point, the national parks of Minneriya and Kaudulla can be seen, home to hundreds of elephants. After visiting Lion Rock, the trip continues to Kandy via the Matale Hindu Temple and the famous Spice Garden, where Sri Lankan spices can be discovered.

Anuradhapura
Anuradhapura - After breakfast, the journey heads to Anuradhapura (a 4-hour drive). This is an experience not to be missed, as it delves into the ancient culture of Sri Lanka. The Cultural Triangle, located in the Central Highlands, includes the ancient temples of Anuradhapura and Polonnaruwa, as well as the mountain city of Kandy. Anuradhapura, one of Sri Lanka’s ancient capitals, is now a UNESCO World Heritage site. It was a stable and enduring center of political power and urban life in South Asia, known for its wealth and unique culture. The ruins include three types of buildings: stupas, monastic buildings, and royal ponds. The entire UNESCO site of Anuradhapura will be visited on this day.

Polonnaruwa
Polonnaruwa - After breakfast, the tour moves to Polonnaruwa, the second most ancient kingdom of Sri Lanka. Following the visit to the Polonnaruwa UNESCO site, the local village and its lifestyle in the beautiful village of Polonnaruwa will be explored. Afterwards, preparations will be made to explore the exciting Minneriya National Park, where hundreds of elephants can be seen. After the safari tour, the return to the hotel in Sigiriya is planned. In the evening, cafes and restaurants around Sigiriya will be explored.

Nuwara Eliya - Departing from Kandy, the journey continues to Nuwara Eliya, with a visit to the Botanical Garden in Kandy beforehand. It’s time to explore the tea region of Nuwara Eliya. Along the way, a tea factory visit offers insight into the tea-making process, with opportunities to sample fresh tea varieties. Nuwara Eliya is often called ‘Little England’ due to its British colonial architecture, including the Queen’s Cottage, Grand Hotel, Hill Club, and Town Post Office. In Sri Lanka, tea and tourism are inseparable. Head to the cool, misty hills, enjoy the heavenly aroma, and end the day in style in the cool climate. Attractions in Nuwara Eliya include a walk through the historical city, Lover’s Leap waterfall, Victoria Park, and Gregory Lake.

Ella - After breakfast, it’s time for hiking and enjoying the beautiful landscape in the small town of Ella. The day includes discovering waterfalls, the Nine Arch Bridge, and Little Adam’s Peak. In the evening, the town center will be explored, which is filled with many bars and restaurants. Accommodation is in Ella, with views of the famous Ella Rock.
Yala
Yala National Park - After breakfast, it’s time to bid farewell to Ella and head to Yala. This is an opportunity to see leopards, bears, and birds. Join the Yala National Park Safari tour in the evening and enjoy a BBQ after the wildlife adventure. Accommodation is at the Tissa Lake View romantic hotel for one night. Attractions include the Tissa Lake bird safari, Yala National Park, and the ancient city and temple of Tissamaharama. The stay in Yala is for one night.
Mirissa Beach
Mirissa Beach - Tangalle, located on the southern coast of the island, is one of the best beaches in Sri Lanka.
