Airport to Sigiriya / Dambulla

Dambulla Cave Temple - Be greeted by an English-speaking driver at your hotel or Colombo Airport and travel to Sigiriya, stopping to visit the Dambulla Golden Cave Temple along the way.

Minneriya National Park - In the evening, enjoy a 4x4 safari at Minneriya, Kaudulla, or Hurulu Eco National Parks, depending on elephant availability. Spend the night in Sigiriya.

Sigiriya The Ancient Rock Fortress - Witness a stunning sunset at Sigiriya after an exciting safari and climb up Sigiriya Rock. It’s a perfect location for photography and reaching the summit.

Sigiriya to Kandy

Sigiriya The Ancient Rock Fortress - Begin the day with an early morning climb of Sigiriya Rock before the sun gets too intense, ideal for photos and reaching the top, then return to the hotel for breakfast. Continue the journey to Kandy.

Kandy - On the way to Kandy, visit the Mathale Spice Garden (for a visit only), Gem Museum and Workshop, and a Hindu temple, followed by a Kandy city tour.

Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic - In the evening, enjoy the traditional Kandyan Cultural Dance Performance and visit the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic.

Kandy to Nuwara Eliya

Ambuluwawa Tower - Begin the journey to Nuwara Eliya, stopping at the Ambuluwawa Tower along the way. The tower is a unique and iconic structure known for its breathtaking views from the top and its challenging narrow spiral staircase. Climbing the tower is an adventure, as the staircase narrows as you ascend. Standing at 48 meters (157.4 feet) tall, it’s not recommended for those with a fear of heights. However, those who reach the top are rewarded with a magnificent 360° view of the surrounding area.

Nuwara Eliya - Continue to Nuwara Eliya, visiting Ramboda Falls and a Tea Plantation, followed by a Nuwara Eliya City Tour. Overnight in Nuwara Eliya.

Damro Labookellie Tea Centre and Tea Garden - Visit the tea factory and plantation, and enjoy a nice cup of tea.

Nuwara Eliya to Ella

Gregory Lake - After breakfast, drive to visit Gregory Lake and Victoria Park Garden.

Ella - After visiting Gregory Lake, prepare for the world’s most scenic train ride. The 12:05 pm train ride to Ella offers a gorgeous panoramic view. (During the high season, please note there is only a 50% chance of securing train tickets due to high demand. Ticket availability can only be confirmed 3 days before the scheduled train date. Thank you for your understanding and flexibility with these constraints.)

Little Adam’s Peak View Point - In the evening, climb Little Adam’s Peak in Ella. Overnight in Ella. Highlights of the day:

Ella to Tissamaharama / Visit Yala National Park or Udawalawe National Park

Nine Arches Bridge - After breakfast, drive to Nine Arch Bridge, visiting Rawana Waterfall along the way.

Rawana Falls - The Ravana Falls is a popular sightseeing attraction in Sri Lanka, located near the town of Ella.

Yala National Park - In the evening, opt for an exhilarating jeep safari adventure at either Yala National Park or Udawalawe National Park. Stay overnight in Tissamaharama. Please note that the Jeep Safari and entrance fees are not included.

Tissamaharama to Mirissa

Mirissa - After breakfast, drive to Mirissa, visiting a snake farm along the way. Enjoy leisure time at the beach resort in the evening. Overnight in Mirissa. Highlights of the day:

Mirissa Whales - Go whale watching from Mirissa at 6:30 in the morning.

Galle - Visit the Galle Dutch Fort and enjoy a walk in the fort. After visiting Galle, return to the same hotel in Mirissa for an overnight stay.

Time to Say Bye

Colombo - Enjoy a freshly-prepared breakfast at your hotel in Mirissa before checking out. It’s time to bid farewell to Sri Lanka. You will be transferred to Bandaranaike International Airport, located in Katunayake, for your departure back home.

Bentota - Depending on the flight schedule, the itinerary includes a visit to the Sea Turtle Hatchery & Rescue Centre, followed by a tour of the Galle Dutch Fort, and culminating with the Madu River Boat Safari. Please note, the cost of the boat ride and entrance fees are not covered in the package.
