Excellent tour of the South of the island - This was a very well-organised trip that covered all of the areas on the detailed itinerary. Our tour guide was Marisol, who was knowledgable about Maltese history in general and also spoke clearly at all of the stops. The lunch was delicious, beautifully cooked fish. If you don’t fancy the boat trip, there is a fascinating 17th century tower, which can be followed by excellent coffee and gelato. Communication beforehand was very clear about pick up times and places.

Interesting facts and areas with activities well paced - The guide Antoinette was terrific and full of information that was presented clearly and concisely. The afternoon guide Fabrizizia was also excellent to finish off the day after lunch. The activities were varied and incredibly interesting with pace of the tour perfect. Guide could always be heard as used mike for our group of 32. Really enjoyed the sights and attractions. Lunch was delicious with freshly cooked local sea bass, pasta and dessert. Free time was included to wander the fishing village area.

Good tour that covers many of the main sights in Malta - The tour guide was very knowledgable and friendly, and the timing for each stop was perfect allowing enough time for free exploration. The only stop where it felt a bit rushed was Marsaxlokk as this was also the lunch stop - by the time lunch was served and finished, we only had about 20mins to explore. But other than that, the whole tour was very enjoyable.

Long tour, lots of slow gaps - The tour was quite long given the amount of things you actually saw Francesca did her best with what she had to show, a crying baby in group didn’t help

Worth doing to see lots of pkaces - Very good route and a great guide. It was well paced and there was enough time to visit each place and have some free time as well. The boat trip was extra, but well worth doing. The meal was ok, nothing special, but adaqyate.

A bit of a mixed experience - Overall, this was a bit mixed. On one hand, the operator tried to cram as much into one day as possible. But, that meant feeling frustrated by not having enough time at any of the stops to really get the most our of them - especially Hagar Qim which was a 30 minute stop & we didn’t even have time to see the exhibits in the visitor centre. The Blue Grotto was a 15 minute stop before being told to get back on the bus where we then waited for 20 minutes for the afternoon guide to arrive! The lunch at Marsaxlokk exceeded our expectations, and a welcome part of the day. But … they weren’t ready when we all arrived and the “village” itself was a bit disappointing. The harbour/marina area was nice, but there was heavy industrial buildings at the far side. I’d say, the town was not at all what we expected and was much more built up. We then headed to visit a famous cavern - I confess, we didn’t even bother to go in. By this point we’d had enough (those who did go in were out again in about 20 minutes). There was a lot of time hanging around waiting to be allocated to buses which detracted from the day a bit. This could have been much better with a reduced program and more time at stops.

Delays Ruined the Day - Was really looking forward to this trip but as it was Friday 13th something was going to happen! Coach picked us up and took us to a bus park where everyone went their separate ways for the different tours. You'd think it would be straight forward getting people on to the correct coaches but no. It was chaos. Our coach hadn't arrived so we were told to wait on the coach we arrived on. Trouble was they were letting people onto our coach and asking people to get off as well! We moved up towards the front of the coach so that we could hear what was happening. Our coach finally arrived but we were now running late and were the last coach to leave. On to our first stop the quarry museum. 3 other coaches were already there. The two audio visual cinemas were busy so we had to wait 20mins before we could go in. Once the film was finished, which was interesting, we went to look around the museum. We were given an audio headset which wasn't much use really as it told you the same thing that you'd already heard in the film. No sooner had we got outside to look around the heavens opened! We had hardly anytime anyway to look around before we were expected on the coach. The road up to the coach was like a river! Lots of people got wet feet. Next stop was the temple of Hagar Qim. Great! Fascinating to see! It had a sister temple but we were told we couldn't go down to see that as it wasn't included in our ticket. From there we moved onto what should have been an optional boat trip to the blue grotos. The guide said the boats weren't running due to the previous rain storm but it was brilliant sunshine? Anyway when we got there he said you've 30mins instead of the 1 hour we should have had. Obviously trying to make up for lost time earlier. It turned out the boats WERE running as it was lovely and sunny. I asked if we could go on them but the guide said no, we have to go. Yes... We have been running late everywhere up to now that's why! Really angry and frustrated that we could only watch the boats go in and out of the caves. If we had begun our tour on time and not been delayed at the quarry we would have had plenty of time!! Next on the agenda we thought was lunch but no we went to the Ghar Dalam cave. The guide gave a long talk on the bones that were found there before taking us down to the cave. The cave was okay but we have seen much better examples in other countries. Finally we headed off to lunch in a fishing village overlooking the power plant. The meal was; bread, pasta starter, sea bream (with the head on) with fries & salad, and a chocolate profiterole dessert. It was nice but the fish had lots of bones in it. By the time we had eaten it there was only 10mins to look around at the market which was packing up anyway before we had to head back. This proved that the delays in the morning cost us dearly messing up everything afterwards. The coach went back to the caves car park where everyone had to swap to other coaches or minibuses to get back to their hotels. We ended up in a minibus which was packed. You couldn't move. It was uncomfortable and the air con wasn't strong enough. Was so glad when a few people got off so that there was some space! All in all it turned out to not be the day we expected at all.

very long, discouraging day - First, let's start with the name of the tour....."temples" would make you think you would have the opportunity to see more than one. Not true. Only Hagar Qim was included, not Mnajdra (although the guide pointed out that you could see it off in the distance. Not helpful.). You spend an HOUR at a limestone history place, which I can't imagine who wants to spend more than 20 minutes there (if at all)....just a great excuse for the guide to drop the group off with a movie and headset while he enjoys coffee. It was windy, so no optional boat rides for anyone, but we did get to spend a lot of time in the little town where you would do the boat ride if it were not windy. There is nothing to do in this town, fyi, although the view is spectacular. 10 minutes for photos would have been sufficient. Lunch in Marsaxlokk was fine, but every tour bus was there at the same time, so it was very slow service and didn't allow for much time to enjoy the beautiful harbor. As for the guide, Phillipe, maybe he was having a bad day. He was shouty and borderline rude (he actually snapped at a school group). He did the tour in both English and Spanish, so depending on your language, half the time you had no idea what he was talking about (and if you're lucky enough to be bilingual, you got to hear everything twice). Not fun.

Well organized but boring tour - I wish I could rate this tour higher, but most of it was mostly quite boring. The main exception was the Blue Grotto boat ride, for which we paid 10 Euro extra per person. My rating is only because Philippe was a good tour guide and it is a well organized tour. But neither the cave or prehistoric temple appealed to me.
