Not on the beaten track - This is a monument that is off the beaten track of visitors to Agra. Once on the main Delhi Agra Highway it is now off the new expressway. Still it is worth a visit for the size and the detailed architecture. Do engage a guide to explain you the many facets of the tomb of one of Indians great kings.

Interesting - This mausoleum dedicated to Akbar (inside is his tomb) was built around 1602. Since the ruler had always supported the various artistic forms of the time, his monument also reflects the various trends of the time mixed with Hindu situations. The appearance seems incomplete because at his death his son continued in the works significantly modifying the opera.Pochissimi tourists.
