What an adventure! - This was a great experience for our family of 4. We have a 15 and 17 year old boys and they loved it. Andreas was knowledgeable and pointed out several key plants during our hike up the mountain. He was patient with all levels of skill and zipped up the hike despite his shoe sole falling off completely. He scoured the woods for vines to tie it up and off we went. He took us to a beautiful water hole where we swam around and jumped off cliffs. Then on to rapelling. It was our first time rapeling in water. We felt very safe and had so much fun. Would definitely recommend this hike to nature lovers who want a great work out and then an even better reward! Bring the bug spray because the mosquitoes are hungry.

Must do! - Absolutely amazing! I had the best day hiking, swimming and rappelling. The guides (Emilio and Huston) were fantastic - super encouraging and made the whole experience very enjoyable. I also added transport and Jose was a lovely driver. Think about your fitness level - even if active/in shape the heat and humidity will get to you. The hike was challenging - but totally worth the cold dip in the pool and rappelling down the waterfalls. I had never done rappelling and relatively straightforward and easy to figure out. The whole day was definitely a work out - highly recommend!

Best Experience EVER - This experience is a must if you are in Belize. Feeling the water gush against you and that adrenaline pumping through your veins is the greatest thing. The guides were amazing with the kids and made sure everyone was safe and secure. If you are nervous then don't be, just trust these guys. They will be with you each step of the way.
I would give 10-stars to the excellent customer service, adventure, experience and simply everything in one. Love every bit of it, even the long hike to the top. But the view is just amazing. You've got to do it.

Great activity for adventure seekers! - We did 5 excursions during our stay in Belize and this was definitely the most challenging! The hike up was one of the more strenuous I have ever done and required both hands and feet to climb! It was worth it when we got to swim in the beautiful pool above the falls. It was our first time rappelling and Victor and Kevin were excellent teachers. They were both patient and encouraging, and also extremely knowledgeable. We left with a few battle scars, but would definitely do it again and recommend to other adventure seekers as well!

Thrilling Challenge! - Our favorite excursion all week! Be prepared for a strenuous hike (hiking boots or water/hiking shoes are a must) with a stunning pool and waterfall at the top. The rappel is an exciting adrenaline rush that is not for the faint of heart. We had a blast! WEAR LONG PANTS and lots of bug spray!

Exhilarating climb with stunning views at the top - Herson and Andres(?) apologies if I spelled your name incorrectly! Were awesome guides. They were able to take my (now) fiance and I, along with another couple up and down this mountain fairly easily. Along they way Herson showed us local fauna and explained some local culture to us as well. Their expertise came incredibly handy during the rappelling portion of this journey as I didnt realize I was super scared until I went over the lip. TRUST THE ROPE. I ended up with a huge adrenaline rush and a very sore left hand....nevertheless, this was an incredibly challenging, but rewarding adventure.

Fun Activity - This was such a fun tour! It is not for the faint-of-heart because there is a steep climb to the top of the waterfall (there are ropes to help you keep your balance and pull yourself up the mountain), and rappelling down is a physical activity. However, we had two experienced climbers with us and both felt that all the right protections were in place to make sure that everyone made it down safely. For people who do not want the full rappelling experience, you can hike up to the swimming hole without a guide and the Bocawina Rainforest is full of hiking trails for all levels of hikers. There are even some guides at the front office that will help you choose a trail and/or that you can hire to take you. Thus, a large party could separate and all go on their own adventure and then meet up at the restaurant for a delicious lunch. (The restaurant has wonderful gardens which will keep you occupied while you wait for the rest of your party).

a true jungle experience! - Bocawina is a hidden gem in Belize! Review for Antelope Falls hike and rappelling
It took us about an hour of moderate hiking to get to the top of Antelope Falls. It was well worth it, as we were rewarded with a sweet little pool. After relaxing, we then got to hype up our adrenaline by rappelling down the falls. Tony and Rony were great guides and I felt completely safe in their hands. It was an awesome experience. The views were incredible and you really felt like you deep in a tropical paradise! Bocawina Adventures were a great company to work with and my whole group felt well taken care of, from the highway pick-up, to the tour, to lunch after!
Some hints/tips:
- The last 20 minutes or so of the hike were quite steep...there were built-in steps and a rope to hold on to as you climbed
- Since we were doing rappelling, we carried our harness and equipment during the hike
- Wear your swimsuit so you can swim or just take a dip to cool off!
- You will get wet during the rappelling
- There are changing rooms and lockers at Bocawina Adventures headquarters

Fun experience, felt very safe. - The guides were excellent and took good care of us. Safety measures were top notch. Only problem was we were part of a lrge group of 15 and had to wait for alomst an hour in line to rapple. Two smaller groups of 8 would have been so much better. Wear
Long pants/shirt. The mosquito will eat you alive.
