- The Jawan Silver - In my village, “Batuan Lantang Idung,” 70% of the men are silver smiths. Silver plays a crucial role in our village, accounting for 60% of the local economy. Growing up in a silver smith family, we decided to create this activity to help you experience the craft and feel the sensation of creating your own jewelry. By doing this, we also help the villagers earn more income and promote their work to foreigners. All of our teachers are local. The program begins with picking you up at your hotel and driving you to my house in the village to start the project. Upon arrival, we will serve you coffee/tea and Balinese cake as a warm greeting. While enjoying your refreshments, we will explain Balinese houses, lifestyle, culture, and traditions. To start the project, we will show you some jewelry samples, or you can bring your own design. Once you decide on the design and type of jewelry you want to make, we will begin by preparing the silver. We will be right beside you to assist throughout the process, from shaping and cutting to cleaning and finishing. We ensure your safety and that you get the jewelry you desire.

The first thing you can do is visit the gallery or work from home and choose the design you like. After that, head to the silver making class at Br Lantang Idung Batuan Sukawati. Our instructor will guide you in creating silver jewelry.
The teacher offers a truly unique experience. By spending a few hours in our local silver-smith classes, you will gain a wonderful insight into our traditional Balinese way of life and silver making.
Handcrafted jewelry is a rarity in these modern times, and Bali is one of the last places in the world where such methods are still practiced. Your support helps keep this tradition alive. Every element of our jewelry is meticulously crafted by hand, using traditional techniques such as shaping, filling, decorating, and finishing. By the end of your day with us, we are confident that you will leave with a sense of a world long forgotten and, hopefully, a beautiful piece of Bali magic.

Amazing and you get to keep a special item to remember - This was a fabulous trip . Wyn picked us up and was the perfect host, we went to his home, saw the rice paddies beside it being worked and had a great class. My partner didn’t want to do this trip but said it was the best day of our trip in Bali.

Ring making - The experience was very informative and interesting, enjoyed making something that I can take home from my trip in bali.
Everyone was extremely nice and helpful in assisting with the ring making.
Sewa picked us up and dropped us back to our villa. Sewa recommended to try Luwak coffee and we did a detour on the way home, stopped at a cafe where they do free coffee and tea tastings and where you can get a cup of the luwak coffee
Recommend this is you’re wanting to bring home something personal from your trip.

Awesome jewelry experience. - Our driver Norman was so engaging on the journey which took about an hour and we visited the village first to learn about the history of jewelry making and precious stones. We were able to see how the process of jewelry making happens and Ayu so was kind and gentle taking us round while we took our time. The jewelry we bought was nothing we have seen before in Australia. And they support the local community with the proceeds. At Ni’s house, silver jewelry maker, she explained what we were going to do step by step and we got to draw out some designs first while we had refreshments. With Ni’s guidance in the 3 hours we produced the rings seen in the picture and we honestly never thought we would be able to do that. We were made up. 😊. Excellent experience and so recommend this experience.

A Memorable Experience! - A must-try creative experience for those wanting to make special memories!
My partner and I had the privilege of being mentored by Hana and her team, who were very knowledgeable and professional throughout. It’s an intergenerational family-run business, and the small workshop size offered a tailored experience to create unique pieces of jewellery.
Don’t worry about your skillset/artistic capabilities - They will meet you wherever you are at!

100% Worth It - It was my wife and I first time taking a silver making class. We were nervous at first but it was quite easy and fun. Hanna made the whole process straightforward and enjoyable. The driver was early and even waited for us to finish getting ready before we headed out. We definitely recommend this class and would do it again!

What a way to make something personal for your partner. Brilliant . - When I was first told about this by my wife, I thought it was going to be an expensive boring thing to do. How wrong I was. This was fantastic to see and be involved in making something really nice and personal for my wifes on her 60th birthday, so I made her a ring that turned out brilliantly. Highly recommend this place. The staff were fantastic and to get you involved in the hands-on making of your jewelry was fun.
