Great! - Excursion was awesome! I went solo, had some great guides, didn't see any manatees or monkeys unfortunately, but sooo many turtles, different birds, some alligators, and a very relaxing kayak trip. I was enjoying myself so much I almost didn't realize until the end that we didn't see any monkeys or manatees, but can't make the free roaming animals come when we want!

Great experience, a must do tour - So much fun. Rich and Brice made this an easy excursion even for first timers. Even though we have little experience with a kayak, it was very manageable. We had several newbies and they managed easily. We saw manatee, birds, turtles, and several alligator. The water was crystal clear. I highly recommend this tour.

Fun Adventure to Silver Springs State Park - We enjoyed our kayaking with the manatees. I should have booked a tour earlier in the morning to see more manatees. Our guide, Guy, was able to locate one manatee for us to watch. We were able to see her 3 times! These gentle giants are more active in the morning. Guy pointed out alligators and many birds to us also. The monkeys were not in the area due to the construction at the park. Hopefully when you book your tour the construction will be completed!

We went on February 13,... - We went on February 13, 2025. Our tour guide was amazing and very knowledgeable. I just wish they would’ve taken his knowledge of there being zero chance of us seeing a manatee or monkey and putting it on their ad before we drove the 2 hours to see a few gators. For anyone else interested he going. I became aware that manatees only generally come out in January and February as those are generally the colder months of the year. We ended up going on a warmer day and because of that we saw none of them. I don’t know why we saw no monkeys. Because of the long drive and the lack of manatees or monkeys we would’ve given the review 2 stars. However, it wasn’t the guides fault, he was very informative, and they are very dog friendly as long as you call ahead and discuss with them. I marked I would recommend to someone else but that’s if they wanted to see the beautiful springs and some gators close up.

"Strange Wilderness" type tour - We didn't see any manatees or monkeys. We did see some turtles, alligators, and fish. The scenery was nice. You can't really see through the boats like you would expect. You load and unload the boats yourself. Our guide was nice enough but I couldnt stop thinking about the movie "strange wilderness" I got the vibe he was thrown off by having children join the tour and not being able to swear freely. Felt like all his jokes were supposed to have punchlines he had to adapt for the children. Once I remembered the movie "strange wilderness" I couldnt stop laughing at how much our guide reminded me of the main character. Possibly high, couldn't remember much, felt like he was the guy they call when the other guides don't show up to work. Very "chill" guy, the talked super slow (probably to stretch out the very limited amount of information he had to share with us) Overall not bad. But definitely disappointing to not see any manatees or monkeys. And not being able to see through the bottom of the boats was surprising (they did work slightly better in direct sunlight) If you are here for long period of time and have some money to waste and nothing else to do, I'd say give it a go. Don't recommend making this the main event for a trip as is was pretty underwhelming.

Plan for extra time as... - Plan for extra time as launch may not be on time Keep your launch receipt out of your dry bag because you need to show it again when you launch your kayak. Don’t pay extra for a clear kayak because they are so scratched up on the bottom you can’t see through it. Our guide was great
