The Blue River is a gem in the heart of central Colorado’s high country. Originating south of Breckenridge near the 14,200-foot Quandary Peak, it flows down through Silverthorne, where our float trip begins. The river courses through the White River National Forest, offering breathtaking views of towering trees and verdant pastures. Some parts of this unspoiled river are famous for trout fishing, but we are drawn to the thrilling class I to III rapids (and occasionally class IV during high flows!). You’ll encounter wildlife such as bald eagles, ospreys, moose, deer, elk, and possibly even a beaver. This river is sure to impress!
