Recognized scientifically as highly intelligent creatures, Orang Utans reproduce infrequently, typically birthing once every 8 years. Spend an enjoyable hour and a half at this specialized rehabilitation center. Take plenty of photographs to remember your visit.
A journey of 4 hours heading south on the North South Expressway will take you to the tranquil town of Bukit Merah, traveling past quaint palm oil farms and pineapple plantations.
  • Perak Tong Cave Temple - Perak Tong is acknowledged as one of Malaysia’s premier cave temples. Ascend the staircase and traverse the slim passageway to discover a vast limestone cavern with a towering dome and numerous alcoves and niches. A majestic golden Buddha, standing 40 feet tall, presides over the temple, while the cave walls are adorned with vibrant frescoes that illustrate figures and tales from Chinese legends and Buddhist texts. Scattered throughout the temple are a variety of statues and sculptures, including one that may represent Guan Yin, the Goddess of Mercy, with her 18 arms.
