Start your day with the Island Tour to explore the historic highlights of St. Maarten. This tour, available from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, offers a perfect blend of history and breathtaking views. As you journey through Fort Willem and admire the Great Salt Pond, you’ll feel the island’s rich past come alive. The tour also takes you to the French & Dutch Border Monument, a testament to the island’s unique dual-nation status. Don’t miss the chance to sample local cuisine at the Simpson Bay Market, where the flavors of the Caribbean await.
“French & Dutch with Jackson - we did the french+ dutch tour with Jackson, it was exactly as described and he was great. Highly recommend, for an overview of the island with a great leader.” - Reviewed at 2024-01-07
A Taste of Paradise: Beers, Burgers, and Beaches
On March 16th, the weather clears up, offering a perfect day for outdoor exploration. With the sun shining and a gentle breeze in the air, it’s time to indulge in the Beer, Burger, and Beach Tour. Starting at 9:00 AM, this tour is the ultimate Caribbean indulgence, combining the island’s best brews, burgers, and beaches.
Begin your adventure with a tour of the largest brewery on the island, SXM BEER. Learn about the history of beer on the island and participate in trivia for a chance to win prizes. Afterward, head to The Tap and Still for what many claim to be the best burgers in the universe. With juicy burgers and homemade fries, it’s a meal that will leave you craving more.
The tour concludes with a visit to Maho Beach, where you can watch planes land and take off while enjoying the sun and sand. It’s a day in paradise that promises relaxation and excitement in equal measure.
“The brewery tour was nice. The burger joint was great. Maho beach was a little bit of a cluster. We were dropped off at the ‘beach’ which is a thin strip of sandy area that is packed with tourists next to a restaurant and a few shops. We had no designated area. The place was beyond packed. We finally found a seat at the restaurant and watched some planes land and take off. Not sure how it could have been coordinated better. Maybe just set the expectation low for the beach part. I would still recommend the tour with the beach disclaimer.” - Reviewed at 2025-01-24
