Pickup service from your accommodation is available in the morning, and we set off northward towards Transylvania.

Our trip’s first halt will be at the magnificent Peleș Royal Castle, the most striking castle in Romania, crafted by King Carol 1 in the 1800s.

The subsequent halt is Bran Castle, also commonly referred to as Dracula’s Castle. This 14th-century medieval fort is the most popular tourist spot in Romania.

Our accompanying guide will entertain you with fascinating legends and hidden secrets of the castle.

Next, we visit the city of Brașov, embarking on a walking tour around the historic core. We explore the Black Church, the prestigious cathedral erected between Vienna and Constantinople during the 15th century, and Rope Street, the city’s slimmest street made by firefighters for firefighting purposes.

Excellent day trip outside of Bucharest - Excellent day tour of the Romanian mountains and castles. Mircea is great guide - knowledgeable, excellent English, quickly gets through the castle queues, tells enough so that it is not the main part of the tour and a very friendly/good driver. About the excursion -> Peles Castle - an excellent work of art, a must-see!! The city of Brasov is a beautiful and interesting city with good restaurants/bars/nature/churches. Dracula's Castle - a good end to the day with beautiful views from the castle, and a better understanding of the context of what is Dracula and Transylvania :) We highly recommend the trip. We were traveling as a group of 5 people, there was room for at least 2 people in the minibus.

Knowledgable Tour Guide! - Alin is a wonderful tour guide. He was on time, and very personable. We spent a LOT of time in the car together and Alin had tons of specific facts about România and all of the places we were going to visit. We learned about the country’s history and the lore of Dracula.

5 Stars but ... - Surprised to see the splendor of Peles and the simplicity of Bran, but different eras. Wooded Carpathians beautiful in the mist and clouds. Excellent guide/driver for this private tour. Highly knowledgeable and proficient English. Works to make trip best for individual client. Comfortable vehicle for long trip. This is my second daylong trip in Eastern Europe and both planned lunch after 3 PM. Maybe it's just what they do. In this case, guide made adjustments for us as well as adjusting for rain and traffic. On Sundays, very heavy traffic in this area due to weekenders going to the mountains. 12 hours, so be prepared. In general, the Viator description could be more detailed.

I'm really glad I participated! - We were able to efficiently visit the beautiful Peles Castle and the famous Bran Castle, and the whole trip was comfortable, so I'm really glad I signed up for the tour. I'm not good at English, but the tour was easy to understand, using simple words, so there was no problem. Our guide, Catalin, explained things clearly, always had fun and made us laugh, and all the photos we took were of us smiling (^^) The day we participated was Easter, so the roads and tourist sites were crowded, and we were planning to leave Romania that night, so they made sure we were on time for our flight. Peles Castle in particular was crowded, but they made sure we could visit without waiting. On the way back, on the way to the airport, I asked them to stop by a large supermarket, where they also taught us about Romanian wine and food, and we were able to buy souvenirs that we liked, so we were very satisfied. This is something that only a private tour can do. I was worried because I signed up for the tour on the last day of my stay in Romania, but there was no need to worry. I'm glad I was able to see Romania other than Bucharest on my last day in Romania. I highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to tour comfortably.

Amazing tour! - What a day! Such an amazing tour from start to finish. Picked up at 8am by Alin, who was our driver and guide for the day. First stop Peles Castle, fascinating history and gorgeous castle. Next, Bran (Dracula) Castle, quite a hill to get to the castle and another 300 stairs when you get in the castle but not all at once. Interesting story of the real Dracula and our tour guide Alin was very knowledgeable. On to the old town of Brasov, which had a mix of shops and restaurants. We had a lovely meal of traditional Romania food recommended by Alin. This tour is a long day but worth it and if you get Alin as your guide, you will have a great day!
