The stretch of roughly 100 km from Bucharest to Sinaia provides a host of attractions, depending on your preferences. One such point of interest is the history of Romanian Oil in the formerly thriving oil cities of Ploieşti and Câmpina. Along the way, we’ll also traverse the vestiges of once thick forests, which have been chopped down due to their use as hideouts by outlaws. An optional stop at the Peleș Castle in Sinaia is available. Sinaia’s welcoming ambiance is the perfect spot for a coffee break.
Heading on to Bran, the celebrated Dracula Castle awaits our visit.
Next up, we proceed to Brașov. During our tour of Brașov, one of Transylvania’s seven boroughs (known as Siebenbürgen in German, meaning ‘Seven Boroughs’), you’ll enjoy its preserved Medieval charm. The ancient City Hall and the Black Church showcase Saxon architecture, while the area of Șchei and the Nicholas Church highlight Romanian design.
By evening, we’ll end our journey and return to Bucharest.
