We meet at your hotel by 8am Start your journey with a refreshing drive from Darjeeling to Rimbeek. Rimbeek is a small hamlet packed with natural serenity and aura. You are bound to imbibe energy by breathing in the fresh mountain air. Once in Rimbeek, your trail will commence. You will trek to Gurdum following the path across the black forests.
Trek from Gurdum to Sandakphu 3636Mt - 7 hours
Sandakphu - Today, you will take a steep climb to Sandakphu. No words will ever suffice the beauty of Sandakphu. From this ridge, you will witness 4 out of the 5 highest mountain peaks in the world namely Mount Everest, Kanchenjunga, Lhotse, and Makalu.
Sandakphu - Sandakphu offers the breathtaking experience of seeing four of the world’s tallest peaks. Yet it is also a trek where nature and culture come together.
Sandakphu to Phalut 3636mt - 7 hours
Sandakphu - Like the previous day, we recommend waking up for the surreal sunrise over the Himalayas. We climb up a little bit to a perfect viewpoint. Today’s view is even more fabulous than the previous, simply because the panorama is so vast. Head back down for breakfast and resume trekking towards Phalut to continue the circuit. It’s already been an awesome trek and there is more to come! After about 4 hours, we come across a stone house on top of a ridge. Near here is Phalut trekker’s hut, where we stay for the night. Because of the remoteness of this area, there are no guest houses or homestays. Anyways, the place has an amazing view!
Phalut to Gorkhey 2346mt - 5hours
Gorkhey to Timburey 1,996mt - 6 hour
Timburey to Srikhola by Trek 3km and drive to Darjeeling 4 hours

The Darjeeling Singalila Ridge Trek! Just two hours from the city, the wonderful path begins. Though not a far drive from the city, the trail seems like it is in the middle of nowhere, as you traverse from ridge to ridge. The scenic Singalila Ridge connects the grand Himalaya of Nepal to India. The highlight of the trek is walking this ridge to Sandakphu (3,636 meters/11,929 feet), the highest point in West Bengal, where you get jaw-dropping views of the highest peaks on the planet.
- A current valid passport is required on the day of travel
- Availability for shows cannot be checked without making a booking. Credit cards will only be charged upon confirmation of show availability
- Important information for our valuable clients not allowed to carry any kind of satellite phone ot GPRS to Protected and Restricted Area in part of Sikkim and Darjeeling Himalayan.

Perfect trekking to see Himalayan mountains - I joined a 4-days and 3-night trek to Sandakphu. I joined the trek because of its ambitious itinerary to see Mt Everest and Kanchenjunga from the peak of Sandakphu (3,636m) as well as traverse its mountain ridges from Thokum valley to Molley and Rammam.
Since it was my real trekking experience, I was worried about my physical strength. However, the trekking guide managed and led the tour thoughtfully, and I could complete the itinerary.
The view of Kanchenjunga was amazing. It was a truly priceless experience.
I think Ashmita is one of the best in India because of its planning skills. I was stay at family-owned lodges throughout the itinerary: water supply, electricity charging, delicious meals and clean beds.

Professional Trekking Company - Beautiful Scenery and Cultural Experience - Ashmita Trek and Tours is an experienced and professional company that I would use again if given the opportunity or if we return to Darjeeling. We did the 6-day Singalila Ridge Trek with Pemba and the 1-day Walking City Tour with Sangay.
The 1-day Walking City Tour with Sangay was a great way to see Darjeeling in the little time we had to explore the city. Sangay was a friendly and knowledgeable guide who showed us the top sites and places we wanted to see. It was interesting to learn about Darjeeling's history and different cultural perspectives. Visiting the Tibetan Refugee Self-Help Centre with Sangay was great as he could also speak the language, making our time enjoyable with the locals. The day walk was a great way to help us acclimatise to the altitude before the next trek.
The 6-day Singalila Ridge Trek was well organised and went smoothly. Pemba was kind and very experienced as a trekking guide. We enjoyed Pemba's company over the six days, and Pemba made every effort to look after us. Unfortunately, I came down with a cold on day 5, and Pemba took time to help me, such as finding some Vicks and providing hot water to soak my feet in at the end of the day. I was very appreciative of his help. Pemba was attentive and ensured all our needs were met over the whole 6 days, even without us asking for much.
The Singalila trek is worth doing. It offers spectacular scenery and allows an experience of the culture and way people live in this part of India. Each day is different, from walking through beautiful lush forests to trekking over alpine terrain with views of some of the world's largest mountains to walking through farmland and beautiful villages. We stopped at tea houses regularly for tea and/or food, which was fantastic. We were fed a lot on the trek, but all the food was homemade, freshly cooked and healthy meals that we enjoyed.
We recommend Ashmita Trek and Tours and hope to return one day to do the trekking in Sikkim.

Memorable experience indeed! - My husband and I were taken back by the wonderful service accorded by Rupesh and the Ashmita team. Attentive to our needs, polite, professional; coupled with their gentle and positive manner made the whole trip so memorable. (Especially for me, as I am the least fit among the group! :))
The trek itself is beautiful with different sceneries everyday. The Black Forest, the Ridge, open spaces, running water and villages with friendly residents are just wonderful experiences that we will cherish. We even had very friendly dogs accompanying us for most of the trek.
All in all, thank you Ashmita, for job well done!

Amazing trek with Ashmita - What an experience! I really enjoyed my 6-day trek Singalila Ridge with ashmita. Everything went smoothly, perfectly organized. Our guide Rupesh was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and friendly, views were outstanding, weather was great, we had so much fun playing cards at night with everyone. This hike is beautifully diverse, every day welcomes you with different terrain, scenery, etc. Warm hospitality from the locals, beautiful villages and tons of flowers ! Loved everything about this trek, highly recommend!

Unforgettable Experience! - I just completed the Darjeeling Singalila ridge trek for 6 days with Ashmita Trek & Tours. my guide pemba sherpa and porter made my trip truly amazing and as comfortable, safe and enjoyable as possible. Besides getting to see the beautiful landscape, I also learned a lot about the mountains range , the country and the culture. From the first moment I enquired about the trip , Subash the owner of the company was prompt and helpful with his communication , which was very important my discussion to book. A trip I will never forget and I highly recommend Ashmita Trek & Tours for anyone considering a trek to Darjeeling northeast India.

Best Local Trekking Company in Darjeeling! - This is our second Trek with Ashmita Trek & Tours my partner and I did the Darjeeling Sandakphu Singalila Ridge Trek for 6 days on customise private Trek. We are fully satisfied with this trip. our guide pemba sherpa was so incredibly attractive and kind. As we was slower then the rest of the trekkers Pemba always watched for us and made sure we was safe and comfortable. our accomodation where always great and with local family and the meals was great and hygienic. and the singalila ridge trek was fantastic. we had fairwell dinner with Subash the owner of Ashmita Trek after the trek which was a great gesture on there behalf. We thank you Ashmita Trek and Tours for our great memorable Trek again and if you are looking for the right company to book you trek in Darjeeling himalaya, stop now and book with Ashmita Trek. Experience of a lifetime! - I have been lucky enough to trek in South America, Europe and North Africa and this was up there with the best! Ashmita Trek And Tours is an excellent company. From my first contact with them they communicated promptly and clearly and everything was very well organised. My guide Tenzi was amazing in every way. He is a great professional, friendly, safety orientated and shared his knowledge of the mountains and culture which enriched the whole experience. I was stretched but had an amazing time. The views of the high mountains were a highlight as was sunrise at dawn on Singalila Ridge.

Incredible experience! - We did the 6 day Sandakphu - Phalut trek with guide Pemba Sherpa and had an incredible experience! Pemba was the best guide we could have asked for. Everything (accomodation, food, itinerary) was perfectly organized. Highly recommended!

We experienced Sandakphu and the mountain views by Jeep and loved it - We did the Jeep tour 2 nights and 3 days to sandakphu. We were lucky, we had great sunrise views of the mountains at Tonglu and sandakphu. The scenery along the way was beautiful. Our guide Dawa Lama looked after us so well, counselling us about altitude sickness, which we didn’t get. We visited Chitrey on the way. The roads were rough for the last leg of the journey (road gangs are working on them, so they will improve) and our driver Sandeep drove skilfully and safely. We loved our Sandakphu trip.

Stunning views and amazing villages - Our guide Rupesh was all time! The Ashmita team was very professional, and showed a lot of care in making sure we had the best experience, even adapting quickly to changing weather, trail conditions, etc. I would highly recommend the 6 day trek to soak in all that the Singalila Ridge has to offer.
