Day Tour in Batam - Had a great time exploring Batam with our guide Hendry. He is very kind and knowledgeable with the culture and history of Batam. Highly recommended this tour

A perfect day in Bantam - This was a wonderful experience - really optimized a brief visit to Indonesia. I got to see so many places, local culture, tours of local product production (coffee, layer cakes, batik), as well as a temple and mosque. Very thorough tour of Bantam, very interesting and varied. My tour guide, Mr. Johni, was wonderful and provided a great commentary. The ferry was easy to navigate, and I was met right outside of customs. 100% recommend. If time allows (for me it did) ask to go to a local spa for a massage, too.

Great time - Mr Winner was excellent and he was very informative and went out of his way to accommodate above and beyond the call of his duties. He catered to our special request by stopping to let us enjoy coconut water, picking mangoes off the tree for us to remind us of our young age back home and changing the itinerary to enjoy an awesome massage. The sites to see at Ho Chi Minh was alright but we had a great time there. Thank you Winner.

A very different but worthwhile day out. - This is a very different day out but very well worth it. Our guide was full of knowledge and took us to some very interesting places. Very engaging and very easy to get along with. While Batam is probably not a place most people are used to or expect, it was great to see a very different culture and way of life and we appreciate the efforts made to share that with us.

Brunei to Labuan Ferry - We travelled from Muara Serasa Brunei to Labuan in early March 2025 . As others have said it is a big problem getting prior information for this route . You can book online in advance for the fast ferry in the Labuan to Brunei direction but not from Brunei , this can only be done at the Serasa Ferry teminal and the only timetable that can be obtained in advance is via WhatsApp number , this was on a notice at the terminal , it 00673-731 7588 (I have not tried this myself) . My ticket gives a Brunei number 00673-744 3544 so that may be worth trying to establish ferry times on the date you need . It seems they only publish the current timetable 2 weeks in advance . Our experience was this , we went from our Bandar Seri Begawan Al Afiah hotel by their shuttle and it cost 45BND , it is a good distance taking about 30 minutes and taxi is probably the best way of guaranteeing to get there . We arrived just before 12 noon , hoping there would be a ferry . We expected to get the Car Ferry which runs at 13.00 Mondays , Wednesdays and Fridays but found there was also a fast SRI LABUAN TIGA EXPRESS FERRY also leaving at 13.00 . We booked tickets at the office , we were told we must fill in an ONLINE Malaysian entry form which we did , the lady at the ticket office helped . She said this was very important as entry can be refused if this is not done . The ferry left on time with around 30 passengers , the ferry looked as though it seated around 90 people so no problem getting on . It took just over an hour , the ferry is fairly basic but ok , the journey took us past many Oil drilling installations , some platforms and some on ships ! The car ferry was in Seria waiting to depart as well . For our return journey a few days later we went to the ticket office at the Victoria Ferry Terminal and booked a day in advance where times are published so it is much easier . We returned to Brunei on the Suria which had been refurbished quite recently but again it is quite basic , both boats are a bit like sitting in an aircraft... I hope this is helpful as we found it very frustrating not being able get any prior information. We saw the slightly larger ferry that goes to Kota Kinabalu in Victoria Harbour .

Asia’s side B. - Indonesian people (including our guide) are so kind, and the trip is very interesting, as Batam is a simple city, and give us a strong contrast against the rich and modern Singapore. To taste 24 diffent local dishes at the restaurant was a must!

Misleading Description - The trip itself was good and the tour guide was great. However, we feel the tour description is misleading. They claim the duration is 8-10 hours, but they don’t tell you you need to get to the ferry 2 hours prior to departure to clear customs and give very little information about navigating the ferry terminal. Had we known it could have potentially been a 14 hour day-trip, we would not have booked.

Singapore ferry booking- poor service - I booked the ferry tickets online through Singaporeferrybooking.com. It is a branch located in Songla. Anyway, booked 4 days in advance at $170 for 2 pax. Deductions made immediately & then no news. I waited for 2 days & had to text them through whatzapp to get response. When they got back to me a day before my trip, the time given was different from what was listed when I bought them. For charging so much for service, I would say that the company fell so short! I’ll never have anything to do with this company. Beware!

Ruined bday trip tour - We never got to go on the tour because of guide / operatior not being clear on what's expected before the tour. Once your debit / credit card is charged you have to be aggressive in getting information. We were told last minute about needing a visa. All numbers listed was no answer . Almost 30 minutes into your time I got a reply after reaching out from after 7 am (tour time 8am). There was no one that help us (tourist). They send a message go to immigration desk if it was that simple why didn't the reos at boarding pass desk or the man collecting passes tell us that. We were told at boarding pass desk that we need to go to Indonesian embassy but it's closed because it's Sunday . This was a waste of time & almost $400 down the drain. Viator is acting like it's our fault for this inconvenience. EVERY TIME we travel I use this site & recommend it......NEVER AGAIN I'M DONE !

Did not have a great experience - My group and I were very disappointed by this experience. Our tour guide did not seem prepared, did not take us to half the locations listed in the itinerary, and did not explain questions. I was also disappointed in the way the tour company and Viator handled our complaints with this experience. We did not feel properly consoled or compensated. I don’t recommend taking this tour as we feel that we paid too much for the experience. I hope that things will change moving forward and that this feedback is helpful. My group understands that things happen, we just wish we were taken better care of.
