Super long day but extremely satisfying! - On our second day in Singapore, our tour started with a pick up time from the hotel at 5 in the morning. Yes, you heard that right, 5 a.m. By the time we got to the lobby, at 5:01 Joe (the driver) was already there waiting for us. To start, the van we rode in was very nice, comfortable and very clean. My husband is 6’2” and the amount of leg space he had was incredible! Where was this fabulous vehicle when our children were growing up? This would have been perfect for our family of 6. Anyway, Joe picked us up, and we headed to pick up Putri (our tour guide). You have to show your passport leaving Singapore and when you enter Malaysia as well. Joe made sure our passports were stamped each time which is really nice considering we’ve traveled to other places that didn’t stamp our passport and it left us kind of bummed. Like I said, he made sure we were stamped. Thanks Joe! Our route took us from Singapore to Melaka and onto Kuala Lampur. It’s a lengthy trip (4 hours) so make sure to bring backup batteries to recharge your phone. Putri provided us with wifi the whole trip so that helped preserve battery since our phones weren’t constantly looking for signal and it also gave us the ability to play on our phones if we got bored on the drive. Putri and Joe made sure to make bathroom stops along the way and not only did they do that, Putri made sure to carry toilet paper with us in case there were none at the stops. She explained that a lot of the bathrooms have bidets and there might not be toilet paper. In an attempt to connect better with our tour guide, I informed her we were not new to bidets and we actually use them at home. Ladies, if a tour guide tells you to take toilet paper, take the paper. I have learned on this trip that I am a bidet snob. This water hose situation sticking out of the wall is not my idea of a bidet. I didn’t even attempt to turn it on, just used the toilet paper Putri told me to use. Thanks for looking out Putri! Moving on, lunch was at a Marriott hotel, which was great. Putri made sure to explain to us the different foods, the place also provided western as well as Malay and Chinese options. Every place we stopped, Putri made sure to explain the importance of the location and gave us some background information. As a mom of 4, I am often the photographer of the family. When it’s just my husband and I traveling (as it is on this trip), our pictures consist of awkward selfies where we try and capture the background without cutting off our heads. Apparently Putri knows this too well because we did not have that issue at all. Every place we went, Putri automatically asked us about taking our pictures, and let me tell you………this young woman is a sorcerer with the phone. I have no idea what magic fairy dust she sprinkled on all our pictures but my husband and I looked great! On one picture it looked like maybe I might have been wearing some spanx! Anyway, the last stop was Bantu Cave. As usual, Putri was on her game, she shot video of my husband and I climbing up the stairs as we felt the aches in leg muscles we didn’t know we had. Coming down the steps, she caught video of me taking it slow as my life was flashing before my eyes with every step down I took. The steps are absolutely manageable, my knees are military grade, which means the Army used up all my good knee years and now I’m left with the memories of cartilage between the knee joints. Driving back, we hit rush hour which means Joe had to maneuver traffic with about 8,000 motorcyclists zooming in and out between cars, not letting us change lanes and just overall making it difficult to maneuver with traffic. I am please to say we made it back to the hotel in one piece. Joe was a champ driving and made sure he got some rest while we toured different places. We left at 5 in the morning and didn’t get back until after midnight so that was a long time, especially driving four hours back from Kuala Lampur. You all do the math, that was a lot of hours. I give this team and the tour a 10 out of 10. P.s. bring a pillow for when you inevitable fall asleep on the way back!!!

ABSOLUTELY PERFECT - Absolutely perfect. From the moment of pick-up outside our Hotel, until drop off after the tour was completed. We were blessed with a wonderful, safe and courteous English speaking driver, Ten, and the perfect Tour Guide, Aiman. A great team. Included in our itinerary was a superb breakfast buffet at the Marriott in the morning in Malacca followed by a walking tour of Malacca history and sites. We went on Kuala Lumpur and visited several sites in the Kuala Lumpur area including the KL Tower revolving restaurant for another wonderful buffet. We concluded our tour with a visit to the Petronas Towers sky bridge and observation deck. Our driver, Ten, dropped us immediately in front of the sites were were to visit, and was Johnny-on-the-spot picking us up as soon as we finished. Aiman was super knowledgeable and the perfect tour guide. He knew all the best photo spots and doubled as a wonderland photographer so my wife and I could both be in the same picture. It is a long day, but if you only have one day, and want to visit Malaysia and Kuala Lumpur, this tour package is absolutely perfect. JE Travel was timely in all my email inquiries before booking and they sent "heads up" texts with reminders. Clearing Immigration both in and out of Singapore was seamless. The Van was wonderful, great bucket seats that reclined with WIFI. So napping was easy on the return late in the evening. My wife and I have absolutely no complaints, nor recommendations on how to make this tour better. Perfectly planned, perfectly timed, perfect in every way. Aiman and Ten were a perfect tag-team.

Trip to KL - Such a brilliant experience. Ken our driver drove us from hotel over the border to pick our guide up Putri who was a fantastic guide she looked after us so well and explained everything. Ken did an amazing job driving back through a horrendous storm. But we all got back safe and sound so thank you very much 🙏

Long day but very worth it. - We went downstairs at our hotel just before the 5am pick up time to find the driver taking across the border waiting patiently. Turned out to be a very friendly person who also brought us back over the border after our tour. On the Malaysian side of the border, we picked up our driver and tour guide for what turned out to be a long, but very worthwhile day. Our driver for the day didn't speak much English but was a very pleasant man that went out of his way to ensure we enjoyed ourselves. It turns out our tour guide is the only female guide working for this company, and what an amazing person she is. We saw so much across the day, loved both breakfast and early dinner and appreciated the ability to adjust the tour so we could see places we wanted to see. Thank you to our tour guide for sharing your knowledge, and also for sharing an insight into your culture. Thanks to the tour Malaysia is now on the list of places to explore further.

Felt like a third wheel on a very expensive private tour - English speaking guide was barely understandable. Spent most of his time talking in Malay to the driver. Gave very little information about the sights we were seeing. Only bright spot was the pink mosque where a volunteer, Rosli, told us about the features.
