Wonderful Private Singapore Tour - Our tour guide, Ashton, arrived early to our hotel at 8:45AM, for our 8:45 to 9AM pickup time. He had a lovely car and a great knowledge of Singapore's history which he shared with us. He took us to the a range of the best attractions and even parked the car and walked with us to them, explaining all the time. A lovely and professional man who gave us a really great experience. We would have extended to 6 hours but alas our flight did not allow for us to do that. Four hours is not enough time to see the best things that Singapore has to offer.

Great trip - Driver was wonderful. He adjusts stops requested and is punctual picking up again. Very pleasant and educated of area.

Singapore highlights - Excellent driver. I gained a good sense of the history of Singapore. My driver was great with explaining each of our stops. This is an excellent way to experience Singapore on a stopover to and from the airport.

Well worth doing - We wanted to know more about Singapore on our last day having seen a lot of sights on our own This was perfect Lyn was informative and took us to attractions that we hadn’t been to and after our trip when we asked to be dropped off at Raffles rather than our hotel because it was raining Lyn waited whilst we had a leisurely Gin Sling and the took us back Recommend

Do it ! - Would recommend for sure. Took us where we wanted for as long as we wanted. Saw all the major sites. The driver was fantastic.

Singapore in the rain. - Seeing the various and different sections of the city was unexpected and extremely informative. On a dry day it would have been good to get out of the car and look carefully at the various temples.

Unpleasant/Lazy Driver - Spoiled the Expectations - The four of us booked ‘ Singapore: 4 Hours - Private Car or Minibus Rental with Driver’ on December 17th via Viator with the expectations as described in the tour - such as ‘ informative commentary, sharing interesting facts and stories about the landmarks as you drive by. They can also provide valuable recommendations and insights, helping you make the most of your time in Singapore.’ Ironically, this driver didn’t deliver as expected. He barely talked, offered no tips about each location. First off, he didn’t follow the tour itinerary. He wanted to take us to the mall (electric/tech products). He offered no bottled water. I asked and he said he would buy but there was no water for the tour. He was basically just a driver who dropped us off at each location (discussed and agreed upon); we then texted him when it was time to pick us up. The tour was not pleasant with a lazy driver. We managed and had to insist the driver to take us to visit landmarks that we set out to go (according to the tour description) within 4 hours as contracted. Singapore is a beautiful place but this driver spoiled the spirit. Viator has to do better in selecting drivers to delivery as promised.

Disappointed with poor tour and irritable driver. - We wanted to drive around the city to see as much as possible in the afternoon after exploring the gardens by the bay in the morning. We were tired and wanted a break from the heat. However, our driver, Sam, only wanted to drop us off and come back later to pick us up. He was visibly upset when we expressed our preference for a driving tour. He keep pushing to drop us off at shopping malls which was of no interest to us. He remained irritated throughout the time with him. He may have made plans for the time which we interrupted. We finally ended the tour early rather than put up with his irritability. Wish we had booked a better tour, definitely do not recommend to others.

A tour that actually should be rated a minus 5 stars - How was the tour?  Let me tell you and everyone else that may consider it in the future.   To start, the driver was late picking us up from the hotel.  He said nothing about the tour or where we were going first.   The tour company gave us an itinerary that could be flexible so I messaged them back what we would like to do including adding an hour ($50)  so we would be able to see the light show at the marina.    We were dropped off at the first stop and all the driver said he would be back in 20 minutes to pick us up.  We had no idea where we were supposed to go or see so we just followed everyone else to a temple.  We went back to the pick up spot and again the driver was late. He said nothing to us as he drove us to the Sands Marina Hotel and dropped us off and drove away. This was not the second stop on the itinerary, it was the last stop.  We had no idea if and when he was coming back and what we were supposed to do.    We had tickets for the observation deck in the hotel in an hour and we didn't want to stay there for 3 hours and wait for the light show. I messaged the tour company with my displeasure  with what was happening and told them we would get a taxi and go back to our hotel on our own.  So after going to the observation deck we went back to our hotel.  While we were on the way back to our hotel the tour company messaged me back and gave me a completely different itinerary than either their original one or the revised one I gave them back.  I assumed the driver must have had it and never even told us it was changed. So bottom line, how was the tour?  A waste of $200 if either Viator or the tour company does not refund my money.  Maybe American Express will.    We were picked up late, had a driver that could not speak English well enough to communicate and never attempted to tell us where we were going or what we were supposed to do when he dropped us off somewhere.    It was like taking a taxi and the driver dropping you off with no information or direction why you were there or what you were supposed to do.    I will attempt to update this review if either Viator or the tour company tries to make this right and issues a refund.  I won't hold my breath.

Late and didn't complete itinerary – do not recommend - This is an over-priced car hire and not a tour. The description says we'd receive commentary and information about the sights for 5 locations, and it failed to deliver. In 4 hours, we only reached to 2 locations due to the driver choosing high-traffic routes. The company said we had to pay an extra $45 per hour if we wanted to complete the itinerary. Our driver, ST, was late for pick-up due to road closures for Thaipusan festival – this was fine, nobody's fault. We walked to the nearest street he could reach and started the tour. No offers were made to compensate for the time lost due to ST's lateness. En route between locations, ST announced he wanted to show us Orchard Rd which was not on the itinerary – however, this put us in another traffic jam caused by the festival closure! We ended up stuck in traffic for over an hour due to ST's decision. I felt he should have been more aware of the traffic after his earlier delay. Not impressed and would not recommend. You're better off taking a taxi or the MRT!
