Fun Food Tour with Kwang Wei - My mom, wife and I did a private food tour with Kwang Wei. The online booking through their website was quick and easy. The tour was fun, informative, and balanced in terms of savory and sweets. Kwang Wei was a superb guide. He was accommodating, super knowledgeable, and passionate about the Singaporean culture, food, and history. Although there was a lot of walking, we learned a lot from him while enjoying delicious varieties of food from different districts. He took us to restaurants that are well liked and popular among the locals. The curry puff, radish cake, and Hokkien mee were our favorites, but everything we tried was also good. For the ones who are watching their sugar/sweet intake, be advised that most of the drinks and desserts are sweet, maybe on par with American sweets. We also had lots of time to take pictures along the way. Kwang Wei was mindful of my allergy and how tired my mom was getting during our walks. He was also very flexible when we wanted to buy other snacks when we saw other stalls and vendors and when we needed to use the restroom. He knew the ins and outs of Singapore. Kwang Wei gave us lots of tips as first-timers there such as ordering your tea/coffee correctly, etc. I highly recommend booking any of the tours with Kwang Wei.

Fantastic Singapore Food and Culture Tour with Richard - This 6 hour food tour is well worth it and if you're new to Singapore like us, it definitely should be done at the beginning of your trip. It gave us a great overview of Singapore's history and various cultures, how to get around, and a wide sampling of unique and tasty food. We tried everything and didn't need to eat dinner that night. Seeing the various cultural areas and tasting their food gave us a sense of the diversity that makes up Singapore (Chinese, Peranakan, Malay, Indian). Singapore is a dynamic city-state of unique architecture, crowded hawker centers, historical areas, and public and private housing. What was amazing was that all the cultures remain distinct yet co-exist peacefully alongside each other in a small space. Richard was early and well-prepared for our tour. He had visual aids (iPad, pictures, maps) to help us understand what he was describing. He packed hand sanitizer, napkins, utensils, bowls, and cups for sharing food. He had a definite itinerary and kept us moving along while giving us lots of information along the way. He was knowledgeable, friendly, open to answering any questions, and passionate about sharing about Singapore. He took great group pictures of us during the tour. He was super helpful after the tour by walking us to the MRT subway station and going into the station to help us stand on the right platform for us to get to our next destination. He sent out an email afterwards with our group pictures, a list of the places we had gone, and a list of possible things to do/visit during the rest of our stay. He gave us his contact info if we needed any additional advice during our stay. We appreciated his accessibility, knowledge, and enthusiasm for sharing about Singapore. He went above and beyond to make a memorable day for us. The only suggestion we would make is to have more bathroom breaks in air-conditioned areas as it's a fast-paced walking tour in a hot, humid environment. We drank a lot of cold drinks but then we needed to continually find bathrooms (group of 7 adults). Tips for travelers: compact umbrella for downpours and shade, a water bottle, sunscreen, sunglasses, hat, cooling towel, good walking shoes that can get wet. It's also helpful to have an adventuresome palate to make the most of the food tasting.

Excellent Experience - My private food tour and walking tour with Hello Singapore were absolutely amazing. Gee Soo was such a wonderful guide - we had great conversations around the history of Singapore and its future. As I only had 48 hours in the city he was very flexible in our days based upon what I wanted to see in the city/what foods I wanted to try. We were at a local Hawker Center and he mentioned a Michelin starred stall known for their noodles - so we took a fun detour to go try them! Traveling solo can be daunting, so I truly appreciated Gee Soo and I's conversations throughout our 2 days together and showing me his home - he is a great ambassador. I am really looking forward to visiting again in the future!

Wonderful Time Exploring Singapore Food Scene - Richard was our wonderful tour guide for this private food tour. He was very knowledgeable and could answer all of our family’s questions. I went with my family, with three adult kids, and they all had a blast! Richard was also very accommodating of our dietary restriction - one of my children cannot have dairy and he made sure to find alternatives for her to eat. Overall, the tour felt like we were visiting a friend that was showing us around the local food scene and having us try his favorite restaurants. Would highly recommend!

Delicious and fascinating - Our Singapore food tour with Su Ling was fantastic — I’m still dreaming about the hokkien mee noodles three weeks later! We traveled around the city like locals, ducking into places I would never have picked on my own that offered truly incredible Singaporean specialty dishes. Su Ling’s deep knowledge of Singapore’s history enriched the experience and brought the food to life, and she was great company for our day. I would do it a second time just for all the great dishes and adventurous day!

Singapore Cultural and Historical - Top class experience. Our guide Pam was clear and concise with her descriptions and commentary for the full duration of the tour. The tour itself was well constructed and would suit visitors who are prepared to srtoll through historic Singapore, ride a bus, ride a tour boat and ride an elevator to the 50th Floor of the Pinnacle at Duxton. By that I mean almost all of the time we were on the tour we were on level ground. Lunch was excellent and where we ate there were plenty of locals also eating - a good sign if locals are eating there it must be OK. We enjoyed the traditional Chinese tea appreciation at Tea Chapter and appreciated the art of enjoying Chinese tea. Very good value for money, would recommend.
