Singapore, once known as the ‘Gibraltar of the East’, served as a crucial British military base. Discover how its defensive plan did not succeed, and relive the time when it fell under Japanese occupation.
The journey begins at the Kranji War Memorial, a tribute to the Commonwealth soldiers who lost their lives during the war. Subsequently, you will move to the Changi region where you’ll see Changi Prison Wall, the Changi Chapel temporary exhibit (Original chapel is under renovation) and Changi Beach Park. A drive past Selarang Barracks, Changi Air Base and Johor Battery is also part of the itinerary.
