• Thian Hock Keng Temple - The Thian Hock Keng Temple is one of Singapore’s most significant Hokkien temples. Situated where the shoreline once was (prior to the land reclamation efforts of the 1880s), it served as a pivotal point of visitation for numerous Chinese newcomers in historical times.

It was constructed with architectural elements from southern China and has been devoted to ‘Mazu’, revered by Taoists as the guardian of mariners on their sea journeys since 1821.
