Best Plane Spotting. Ever! - Maho Beach has a VERY narrow strip of sand. This isn't the right beach for sunbathers, but is excellent for plane spotters like myself. I don't know what I enjoyed more, watching the planes or watching the unsuspecting people get toppled by the incredibly strong waves.

Plane departure rush - Amigo Tours gave us a wonderful experience. Denzel was a great tour guide. A real St Maarten enthusiastic that transmitted the love he has for that marvelous island. Kids had a blast at Maho Beach with the arriving and departing of planes nearby. Really glad we booked this tour.

Best time ever in St Maarten - Great time!! Our Driver Rafael was awesome. He took time to explain everything and made all fun. The beach was clear and not that much waves. Thanks Rafa for taking there on that beautiful day

Started off good and then... - Started off good and then our driver never came back to pick us up. We needed to be back to the cruise port to leave by 430 and we informed him previously. Apparently there was an accident which is understandable but every other service was there and left within due time. We ended up needing to take a taxi back to the port with other families on our cruise and just made it with 10 minutes to spare. And had to pay for it too. Terrible experience. I don’t know what we would have done if we missed the departure.

Overrated & OVERPRICED - Booked this excursion through Royal Caribbean. “Excursion”consisted of a bus ride to the beach and back. At $75/person, it was $150. A cab ride from the port to the same place is $9/person. The beac is about 20 feet wide and was packed. So many rocks that you might twist an ankle getting down there. A definite tourist trap. It’s kind of neat when a plane flies over, but after one time, it’s pretty much done. If you’re going to go, just get a cab and save some $$

I do not recommend very disappointed - Very poor directions when you get off the ship. I had to ask multiple people where we were supposed to meet. There were no signs and no representatives to guide us. The meeting area is actually in a gravel parking lot behind the actual cruise port. You are dropped off at a large bar area at Maho beach, and unless you buy lunch at the restaurant, there are no chairs or seating area available to watch the aircraft. It costs a dollar to use the bathroom at the bar, and there are no alternatives. This tour should be about two hours shorter. You are dropped off at 10:30 and not picked up till 3 o’clock. Speaking of being dropped off, our bus driver, Dave, told us to meet him in a parking lot adjacent to the bar area before 3pm. Everybody in our group was standing in the parking lot at 2:45. Dave, drove in, at 2:45, drove past us, and then parked behind the building, leaving us standing in the hot sun in the parking lot. Everyone in the group panicked and thought Dave had left us standing there. As we were about to go to the taxi stand, Dave came back around the building at 3:06 PM, and allowed us to get on the air conditioned bus. We had to fight traffic the entire way back to the cruise dock to get to the ship. We were lucky our ship didn’t leave till 6 Pm. We arrived in the parking lot at 4:10 PM and most of the people on the bus were told to be back on their ship at 4:15 PM. They were all panicking that they were going to miss the ship. We were literally the last bus to come into the drop off area at the cruise docks. I definitely do not recommend this tour and especially if you were on a cruise ship that is leaving anywhere between 3 and 4:30 PM. When we arrived at Maho Beach, I specifically asked Dave the driver if we would be back in time. His response was “absolutely, not a problem.” When we were on the bus returning, and I asked him again if we were going to make our ship time his response was “well traffic is tricky at this time of the day and it is not my fault“ Absolutely the wrong thing to say to a bus full of panicked passengers that need to get back to their ship or have to buy a plane ticket back to Ft Lauderdale. Very, very irresponsible.
