Personalized, thoughtful, friendly and well organized Sintra day tour experience, - Swingo arranged a private tour of Sintra for our family of three, with visits to Monserrate, Pena Palace and Regaleira. Our guide, Mr Alberto, contacted us via text the day before, to confirm details. Mr A arrived promptly at 830am at our hotel and greeted us. Mr A chauffered us through several of Lisbon's main sites, recounting some history of Lisbon, before heading to Sintra. All tickets for access to sites were obtained by Swingo ahead of our arriving, so we were able to maximize our time at the sites. Mr A was very friendly and knowledgeable regarding the history and culture of Sintra and the local sites. On the return drive to Lisbon , Mr A showed us a beautiful beach, and stopped briefly at Cabo de Roca so we could experience Europe's most Western Point. Perfect day with the perfect guide! - Our half day private tour to Sintra was amazing. The overcast, rainy weather made it even more mystical. The best part of our day was our guide, Fernando. Being a local, he gave us all the history along with legends and unique stories, not to mention, fun stories of his youth in Sintra. We would absolutely recommend this tour, and maybe you’ll be lucky enough to get Fernando!

Fabulous Escape to Sintra and Pena Castle - A nice ride from Lisbon to Sintra in a comfortable van with plenty of legroom Our guide Fernando, gave us history and stories of the region, and told us of his time growing up in the area. We had a short time in Sintra city proper, just enough time to grab a pastry and coffee. Then off to Pena. We loved the time there, with plenty of time to explore before our tour time. The self tour was good, though we felt we missed a lot of significance of some areas. I would definitely bring a good guide book to focus my time better. Plenty of space for pictures. Don't miss walking on the terrace!
