Wonderful Day - Pedro was an amazing guide. He catered the day to us and our interests. He took us to food places that are favored by locals. (The food/drinks were delish) ... He allowed us time to roam around each area at our own pace and at the end of the day he hiked back up the hill on his own to retrieve the vehicle; while we enjoyed a glass of wine and waited. At his suggestion, we ended up getting to experience an area that was not originally on the agenda but def worth it. By the time he was done with us, we were ready to pack our bags and move to Cascais :-)

So Glad Our Other Tour Canceled - After another tour operator canceled on us at the last minute we scheduled a day trip to Sintra with David and it couldn’t have been better. He worked with us to set up an itinerary and we saw everything we wanted to and then some. Comfortable transportation, easy conversation, and insights and information about the beautiful surroundings of Lisbon. Couldn’t recommend anyone else over this tour operator.

Private tour for this area is a must and you will love working with David & Carlos - Booking this private tour was a perfect way to see as many sites as possible. David and Carlos were great to work with, they always responded to my request quickly and set up the perfect day for my family (all adults). They took care of all the pre-booking of tickets for the sites, brought us to the perfect place for lunch, and our guide Carlos was a wealth of information and made sure we didn't miss anything en route. Highlight for me was Quinta da Regaleira and Cabo da Roca. My family loved Pena Palace. Thanks to David we were able to change some of the tour options to include a visit to Monserrate Palace. Beautiful Moorish architecture and the gardens were amazing. It was a long day but well worth it! My husband, daughter, son-in-law and I still talk about that day and the places we visited on this tour. Thank you to Carlos and David for providing such a memorable experience.

One of the greatest 'Tour Operators' we have EVER had the privilege to experience in ALL our world travels! - It is difficult to pick one area to describe as our "favorite place we visited" because David truly customized our travels based upon our particular interests such as history and seeing and experiencing the places that the "average" Portuguese people live and socialize. We immediately asked to visit the smaller towns and villages "off the touristy beaten paths" without a beat he changed our path; of course he did not skip places of cultural significance. David's language and social skills allowed entrance in to shops (even some not open yet) so that we could taste the amazing foods, wines, Port and of course the mouth watering desserts - my personal favorite, the fresh from the oven traditional custard tarts. (Please forgive my inability to spell or pronounce the correct traditional names of those gifts from the great Devine!!). David's knowledge of the countryside was impressive alone but then his knowledge of the political and especially the history of the lands, cities, architecture and social changes because of foreign migration and occupation in very early history FAR SURPASSED our expectations. As a world traveler, I can without doubt or hesitation say that David's tour far exceeds ANY OTHER 'tour guide' (that name does not do justice to his level of expertise) that we were fortunate enough to experience! We are already planning a second trip to Portugal and hope to be able to hire his services again, By the end of the tour, it felt that we had moved from "clients" to friends. David's transportation equipment and wonderfully accommodating personality as well as educational experience is second to none. My deepest and warmest regards to Mr. David Monteiro as well as my and my family's HIGHEST RECOMMENDATION!!!

Fairytale Sintra - This is our second tour in Portugal with the same company. We know we are in good hands when we are with David, our guide. He just can’t wait to show his guests the amazing sceneries of Portugal. Sintra is so fairytale like, with its winding narrow mountain roads, cobbled alleyways, castle walls, and medieval style buildings. We felt like we were transported to a fairytale world. Definitely a must visit when you go to Portugal. As in our first tour, David brought us to a superb restaurant for lunch, one that is definitely a favorite with the locals in the area, and where the food is fresh and tasty. We had a taste of hearty and satisfying local dishes. On the way back to our hotel in Portugal, David took the trouble to take us to his favorite custard tart shop. He wanted us to have a taste of the tart from one of the most famous shops in Lisbon. It’s just like him to want his guests to experience as much as he can offer them. Highly recommend this tour.

Simply Awesome! - Knowledgeable, fun, entertaining... what more can you ask for in a guide? Oh... yeah, let's add that he saved us from waiting in lines and directed us to more activities that resulted in time better spent. Sure, he would take us to the most popular sites (the ones with the really long lines) if we wished, but why would we when there are less crowded, yet equally impressive, sights to see? If you want a private tour that isn't just another scripted tour bus affair, you can't go wrong here. Absolutely loved the tour and would use him again if/when we get back to Portugal.

Great tour day with David - David is very knowledgeable, took us to authentic places, was never in a rush and always trying to show us the local touches of the city. We had an unforgettable tour with him in Sintra and then drove all the way to Cascais where we had very nice stops on the way. Davis is very professional, always positive and clearly is passionate about his job
