• Fonte da Sabuga - Constructed in the 18th century, this fountain was a popular spot for people to fill their bottles with natural water and moisture from the mountain’s summit. It is the largest water source in Sintra.
• Sintra National Palace - Located in the heart of Sintra village, this palace is distinguished by its two conical chimneys that rise above the royal kitchen. It is the only palace that has witnessed the entire history of Portugal.
• Palácio e Parque Biester - Erected in the latter half of the 19th century by José Luís Monteiro, this palace was inspired by various styles, including that of Luigi Manini, and was commissioned by the Biester family.
• Castelo dos Mouros - Perched high on one of Sintra mountain’s peaks, this Moorish Castle is a 10th-century fortification from the era of Muslim rule in the Iberian Peninsula. Its renowned walls wind through the mountains, built from granite blocks among rocks and cliffs.
• Park and National Palace of Pena - This sacred gem of Portugal was constructed in the 19th century by D. Fernando II of Austria, who married the Portuguese queen. Its vibrant colors stand out against the mysterious mountain peak.
• Quinta da Regaleira - Commissioned by António Augusto Monteiro and designed by the Italian Luigi Manini, this estate is home to the famous Initiatory Well, known for its unique mystique, tunnels, and lakes.
• Tivoli Palácio de Seteais - This elegant palace near Sintra village was built in the 18th century for the Dutch consul, Daniel Gildemeester, on land provided by Marquês de Pombal. It is now part of the Tivoli Hotel Group.
• Parque e Palacio de Monserrate - A retreat for writers, Monserrate attracted many foreign travelers, especially English, who praised its beauty in travel accounts and engravings. When 19th-century English industrialist and art collector Francis Cook visited, he was captivated, leading to the creation of the Romantic masterpiece: the Park and Palace of Monserrate.

Please note that this tour only covers the exterior of the monuments. Tickets to visit the interiors cost 8€, which is not included in this experience; you would need to purchase them separately.

• Praia Grande - As its name implies, this beach stretches over two kilometers, making it the largest in Sintra. It is a favorite among surfers and bodyboarders and has hosted numerous European and world championships.
• Praia das Macas - This approximately 250-meter beach is ideal for surfing due to its strong waves. It features various commercial establishments, including restaurants, cafes, bars, and local craft shops, making it a popular meeting spot for Sintra residents who enjoy its terraces and excellent food. Another attraction is the famous tram ride that connects Sintra village center to Praia das Maçãs.
• Praia das Azenhas do Mar - Once a fishing village, this small beach has become a tranquil vacation spot and a source of inspiration for many painters. At just thirty meters wide, it nearly disappears at high tide. However, its stunning landscape, with white houses perched on cliffs overlooking the sea, makes it a must-see for visitors to the Sintra region.
• Farol do cabo da Roca - The westernmost point of continental Europe, known for its breathtaking sunsets and panoramic views from the Sintra coast to the Cascais coast. On the opposite side lies America!
• Guincho Beach - This beautiful stretch of the Cascais coast is accessible via a road flanked by dunes and lighthouses, offering perfect waves for extreme sea sports enthusiasts.
• Museu Condes de Castro Guimarães - This charming small palace, open to the public, features a private beach that invites visitors for a swim. It is located near Cascais Marina, where you can enjoy a meal.
• Cidadela de Cascais - An elegant fort with a small village inside, leading to Cascais Marina.
• Baía de Cascais - The heart of Cascais, ideal for seafood lovers, with its famous fishermen’s beach and charming organization. From Cascais, there is direct transport to Lisbon, taking you to Cais de Sodré, close to Chiado, Bairro Alto, and Pink Street.
• Palacio Seixas - Built in 1837 by Joaquim António de Seixas as a summer residence for his family, this palace has been converted into a museum showcasing fascinating historical artifacts related to Portugal’s colonial past and its 19th-century independence movement.

We commence our journey in the mystical town of Sintra, a locale filled with untold stories down every alleyway. Navigating through the ancient, rocky streets in your reliable Renault 4L will lead you to the renowned Pena Palace, the fascinating Moorish Castle, and the intriguing Quinta da Regaleira.

Further exploration of the verdant Sintra-Cascais Natural Park will allow you to witness the tranquil charm of the woods and eye-catching landscapes, coupled with the mesmerizing Monserrate Palace.

Our voyage proceeds along the beautiful beaches of Sintra, culminating in the spectacular Cabo da Roca, the furthest western point of mainland Europe. Here, the expansive Atlantic Ocean lies before you, evoking a feeling of being on the brink of the world.

As the day progresses, we will venture towards the scenic town of Cascais, a lively coastal haven that perfectly balances serene relaxation and lively exploration with its quaint lanes and impressive Cascais Bay.

• The tour is just outside the monuments. It is not designed for indoor visits nor does it include entrance tickets. If you intend to visit any monument, you will have to go outside the context of this activity.
• We also provide transfer service from where you are housed to the beginning of our tour, through payment of an extra fee and depending on your geographical location. If you have interest, please inform us about it.
