Excellent day trip to Sintra and Cascais with Miguel. Highly recommend. - We had a wonderful day with Miguel our tour guide. There were 6 of us in the group and Miguel was very kind and attentive to all of us. Being a Sintra local meant he had the inside running on parking spots etc. We got to Pena Palace early and were some of the first to enter. The mountain was still shrouded in mist which made for an eerie experience. The sun made an appearance in time for us to see the amazing views below. We had plenty of time to explore the gorgeous village of Sintra on our own as well as visit Regaleira. The queue for the initiation well was long but it moved quickly as Miguel had advised. It was a magical experience. We then drove out to Cabo De Roca where we stopped for some photos and then onto Cascais where we had nearly an hour and a half to explore on our own. All in all an excellent day with lots of information from Miguel as well as free time to explore on our own.

Magical Moments - We had the pleasure of making this extraordinary trip with Miguel. Miguel was extremely knowledgeable and welcoming; he made the trip so much more awesome than it would have been. Persons on this tour will definitely enjoy the beautiful palace and the breathtaking views. The palace gives a sense of majesty and magic. Quinta da Regaleira is also such a relaxing and gorgeous place to visit. The structures are amazing, pictures cannot adequately capture anything you will see here. The downtown area of Sintra that sits just below this beautiful place is bustling with shops ready to share pieces of Portugal with visitors. Cascais, a wonderful beach front town where restaurants offer a variety of food options. My favorite part was seeing the western-most tip of Europe on our way into Cascais. Just beautiful!

Excellent service - It was a very good experience. The van was clean and very comfortable with good air-conditioning as the weather was a bit warm. We were early to Sintra so got great pictures without the crowd. 100% recommended this tour guide

A Wonderful Adventure in Sintra, Regaleira, and Cascais! - Miguel was a wonderful tour guide with interesting information and such a desire to connect with each of his clients on the tour. There was a good balancer of time to walk with the group and to have free time to explore. I recommend this excursion very highly. Thank you Miguel for a wonderful day!!

Good trip to Sintra and cascais - We were picked up on time by our tour guide who was very friendly and welcoming during the whole trip. We were glad we saw the palaces (though we were underwhelmed by them) and Sintra and the palace gardens were very pretty. The well at Regaleira was worth the trip itself though there is a long wait to see it. There is a lot of walking involved and our guide did not accompany us around the palace or to Regaleira which was a pity as there were other guides at these places who did. This took up most of our time in Sintra. We then went to Cascais which is a beautiful town with great beaches and were again left to our own devices. I think our guide should have made some suggestions about restaurants and things to do for the couple of hours we spent there but we were again left to explore ourselves. It was a good tour and we saw what we wanted but for the price I think more input at the places we visited would have been better.

Disappointing the Guide - I made a Reservation for 2 people (130€) for this private tour and honestly the service was basically to move from Lisbon to there like a taxi and a gift box of 2 typical buns. Entries to the sites were not included, the Guide (Miguel) did not accompany us to any visit, he just made a brief historical introduction and told us to pass us and he disappeared (he lived there and we suppose he would go home or do his things...). He took us to Cascais at 16.45, theoretically where we were going to eat and rest but picking us up at 17.45 only gave us time to eat at the first place we saw and have coffee. We asked him that he would recommend us a restaurant/bar to eat sardines since between the time it was, almost 5 in the afternoon and the short time we had we did not know where to go, but he told us to look there that there were many places. Conclusion: we would have been much cheaper to go by train or taxi than to have hired a Guide tour that doesn’t really do its job since we saw how the rest of the guides accompanied and explained everything to their tourists and we did not have that service despite paying for it.
