Great way to spend a few hours - We all enjoyed the palace including a 3 year old, interesting stuff and quite easy to walk and see it all. Recommended! 👍

Beautiful! - We had an early morning admission and had the palace virtually to ourselves. There are signage throughout the rooms that is very informative. Interesting history and beautiful interiors.

Worth a visit - Large palace of the former Portuguese kings. The tour is well planned and signposted (in English). The splendor of the ceiling design and the many tiles were particularly impressive. We booked the ticket online in advance, but there was no queue on site either. Parking is a problem in Sintra, we drove to Porteóa da Sintra in the rental car and then took the train (5 min journey time, €2)

Sintra Visit During the Busy Season - Our family really enjoyed our day in Sintra. It was at the height of the busy season, so booking tickets ahead of time was really important. Having the tickets worked our very well.

Fun Day Touring Sintra - Purchasing the tickets online helped make our Sintra visit a success. We waited until the day before. In spite of that, we were able to receive our tickets in time.

Try this palace instead of the Pena Palace. - A much better alternative to the Pena Palace. The audioguide was excellent and gave a lot of information about Portugal history and the history of the National Palace.

The chimney is the landmark - This building in the center of Sintra is marked by its two chimneys. Inside there are the Swan Room, the Magpie Room, the Coat of Arms Room, and more. The two large chimneys were apparently built as a kitchen to cook for the large number of guests at the time. The huge chandelier was also a sight to behold.

Very disappointed in TripAdvisor and feel a refund is in order. - I ordered tickets from you and thought I had a voucher that I had to trade it, but it turned out that was not to be and you never sent me the ticket

Tripadvisor tickets didn’t work - Nice palace but Tripadvisor ticket didn’t work - the link was broken (not a problem with the Wi-Fi) and I had to buy new tickets at the site. I requested a refund but no response from Tripadvisor. Note at 3 pm in august there was no queue at all so no need to prebook. The palace is interesting and has a variety of styles and eras. Much less crowded than Peña Palace too. Definitely recommend the National Palace of Sintra but not booking through Tripadvisor.
