Castelo dos Mouros - Constructed by the Moors in the 8th and 9th centuries, it served as a crucial strategic point during the Reconquista and was captured by Christian forces after Lisbon’s fall in 1147. It is often referred to as the “crown” of Sintra.
We will pause at certain viewpoints where the Castle can be seen.
