Well organised and knowledgeable - Giovana was lovely. She was very accommodating about our tour and suggested delaying it to slightly later so that we could have a better experience, given the inclement weather. Very knowledgeable and funny - would recommend

Moors and Pena prep for steps - Lots of climbing rocky and stone steps. Go in nice weather. Not too hot a day. Bring jacket for wind or cooler air on mountain. Moors castle moderate climb. Peña not as bad but both nice to see. If had to choose one, see Peña for history and beauty. Walk the garden if you can and ask to see the duck ponds. Slippery path at times. Clean restrooms were nice. This tour guide was full of historical info and a plant lover like me so the garden was a treat!

Amazing Tour and Portuguese Lunch! - Our private tour with Ravi was an unforgettable experience and best day in Portugal! More than worth it to get a private tour in Sintra as Ravi saved us soo much time both in getting into Pena Palace and Moorish Castle, we skipped the lines! And also was able to drive us much closer up the mountain which saved us time and energy to enjoy the sights! He then took us to a local Portuguese restaurant for amazing food! I don't see how anyone does Sintra without a private guide, especially if you only have 1 day to visit.

A Day in Sintra with Giovana - The guide, Giovana, is quite familiar with the history of the monuments I visited. Besides history knows of some curiosities about certain places which makes the visit more interesting. Giovana was always available for any questions. I was lucky to have found this guide!

Sintra in the clouds - We can’t recommend Patricia enough! Despite a weather day with intermittent wind and rain, she went above and beyond to make sure we still had a wonderful experience. She was attentive, flexible, and made the whole day enjoyable. To top it off, we ended with a delightful lunch at a local, non-tourist restaurant that was the perfect way to close out our time together. Truly an unforgettable experience!

Amazing place, not so great tour company service - Review of our tour guide Roma: She was nice although her knowledge of the history was not very good. My son would ask her questions relating to history of the place and sometimes her reply is "I don't know". We also took a private tour and paid over 850 Euros for a family of 5 adults. The car provided was not very big with a third row seating where 2 adults had to squeeze in. In one of the stops, we encountered a group of 3 adults, also on a private tour in a van - more spacious than what we were given considering we were 5 adults plus the tour guide = 6 adults. Review of the Place: The Pena Palace and Moorish Castle is amazing, with breathtaking views and lots of history. There's a lot of walking from the Moorish Castle to Pena Palace and the terrain is uphill, so be prepared. All told, for the amount we paid 850+ Euros, I would rate this tour with 3 stars only, not because of the place but because of the service. Consider joining another tour company that may give you better service or do it on your own and save all that money.
