The Serra de Sintra, with its rugged terrain and lush greenery, provides a unique experience for visitors. Here, you will encounter a harmonious blend of vibrant nature and the rich history that infuses the region. The mountain range is a patchwork of verdant hills, scenic valleys, and fascinating rock formations that date back to ancient times.

This water is renowned for its therapeutic benefits for skin, respiratory, and muscle issues. Visitors often seek out spa treatments and therapeutic baths. It is important to follow professionals’ instructions and, if necessary, consult a doctor before using the hot springs, especially for those with pre-existing medical conditions. Fonte da Sabuga also boasts a rich history and local traditions, adding a cultural element to the visit.

The best Sintra tour - What a wonderful tour! Our guide Jorge was the best! He was punctual and organized. He was very knowledgeable about the sites and routes around Sintra. We didn’t expect rain in the morning but he was prepared to help by offering a poncho and umbrella. He never rushed us at the sites. We had a great day and I highly recommend!

Sintra has great natural beauty - Sintra is really beautiful and Paula is an amazing guide who grew up and still lives there. It was, however, very crowded on a Sunday/holiday.

If you go to Lisbon, be sure to go to Sintra! - We went to Lisbon as a family and we had no idea that we would hear about Sintra there. Which was, after all, the best destination of our vacation. Le was our guide and did a surreal job, which made our trip even better. If you go to Lisbon, be sure to go to Sintra!

Sintra Day Trip - My husband and I took a trip to Sintra whilst staying in Lisbon. Having researched a lot on the internet regarding parking etc we have some advice. We parked a 10 minute walk from the centre at the Interface car park. This car park is at one of the Sintra stations. Large car park and only cost €1:50 for 4 hrs. Station workers not helpful at all bud a bus driver was great. If you want to use the WC at the station will cost you 50cents but very clean. After a 10 minute walk into town you arrive at a second railway station where you can pick up the ‘tourist’ bus which does 2 different circuits of the palaces and castle etc but be warned these are very busy even in April but worth seeing.

Crunch in a day - We booked the tour early morning on the day, as it is available. The confusing part it says available for pick up at hotel but when we booked it says outside area. Our hotel is in Lisbon city center. Soon we received text from tour operator that they can’t pick us up but will meet at Sintra train station. We learned quick how to get there and reschedule the trip to an hour later. Our tour guide took us to the places listed on the tour, however we did not have enough time to visit in person/inside in 3 places, due to late start and early end (6 hrs), due to traffic. However, he gave the story and we passed by the sites. It’s impossible to visit these places on our own in one day, so we are okay not to visits all of them. We are grateful as he took us to a local Portuguese restaurant where we could taste the traditional food. Thank you!
