Sweet tour guide - Very friendly knowledgeable guide. You see a couple cemeteries and learn about the town history. Hit Ernie’s after for a Duck Fart and a beer. Would definitely do it again.

Scary with a smile - On a cold and rainy day, we set off on foot for a Ghost Tour of downtown Sitka. Emily dressed the part to guide us through the streets and alleys of Sitka on a historical tour she has based on old newspaper accounts of several murders and deaths, along with the anecdotal tales of spirits wandering about or engaging with the living. Emily is an animated and enjoyable speaker, and turned a dreary day into a fun experience. I definitely recommend this tour.

Fun Ghost Tour of a Quirky Town - I love taking ghost tours of any place I visit; you get to walk around areas you probably wouldn't otherwise know about, you learn the local history, and get a few spooky stories in the mix. This one did not disappoint. Because it was in the daytime, I especially liked that the guide included local shop owners and walked us into and around other businesses. She did a great job giving shout outs to other people, and I liked her sense of community. Fun fact: she makes her own costumes that she wears during the tours. I highly recommend this tour!

What a great tour! - The ghost tour is excellent providing a perfect mix of learning about Sitka and its history with a fascinating narrative about the ghosts that have survived the history. Ellen was a wonderful storyteller and guide. We highly recommend this tour, whether privately booked or through ur cruise line.

Outstanding Tour - Four of us decided on a whim to book the haunted tour of Sitka. This is a must when visiting the city!! Emily was fun, in character and really brought out the spookiness of Sitka. She is incredibly informative on the history of Sitka and just plain fun to be around! This is a walking tour, however, it’s a very easy walk and you get to hear different stories of deaths and hauntings at different houses. Near the end of the tour is the graveyard! It’s truly spectacular and worth the visit!!

Emily Knows Her Stuff! - Five of us local Sitkans took the tour today and loved it. Emily had some stories that some of us had never heard and most of us have lived here for 40+ years. I'm betting it's a little different and catered to her group each time, depending on their familiarity. Sitka is full of great stories and historic buildings that have ghosts. I can't wait 'til she institutes a night time one. Thanks, Emily

Underwhelming though enjoyable - There were more deaths than ghosts. I enjoyed the walk but it was really quite underwhelming. I would have preferred more history. We're any ghosts mentioned at the cemetery?

The Russian cemetery was the highlight - The retelling of the ghost stories was interesting but several people in our tour voiced that they were disappointed that they could not see the sites (interiors of buildings) of these stories. The highlight was the Russian cemetery as it was so unusual with no order or layout. We were given time to walk around ourselves. At another location, the tomb of the Russian princess was pointed out but we did not get close nor learn anything else (who was this princess?). I suggest do a walking tour on your own.
