As a group of woman-only, charitable volunteers residing and working in Sitka, the New Archangel Dancers have been spotlighting Alaska as a tourist hotspot since 1969 by imparting their understanding of Sitka’s Russian history and their Alaskan pride.

The rise in accomplishment and fame of the Dancers has been boosted by frequent guest appearances at the inaugurations of new terminals for Alaska Airlines, at Alaskan Governors’ initiation parties, and at multiple dance fests, tourism expos, conferences, and public gatherings. Besides performing across the ‘lower 48,’ they have also showcased their talents to receptive crowds in Hawaii, Japan, Russia, Mexico, and the Caribbean.
