Small group great trip - Great trip saw lots of whales! The captain knew where to go and did not disappoint. The vessel was closed in but we could go out to take pictures and wait for the whales to come back up. Highly recommend.

Typical Sitka immersion - We were lucky to be surrounded by grey whales and with only five travelers and a well informed captain. Thank you, Frank!

September 2023 - Skip the cruise booking ! Book this tour! You will not be disappointed!! Went in September 2023 for our 10th wedding anniversary. This was so special and there being only 2 other couples made it extra special. Worth it!

More whales than we could count! - This excursion exceeded our expectations! Captain Frank was informative, friendly, and knew exactly where to go for us to see an incredible number of grey whales! The small size (max of 6) was ideal and loved that we could be inside the cabin, protecting us from the rain, then on the back of the boat for incredible views of the whales. Definitely recommend this one!

Unbelievable experience - This was by far the best excursion we took on the whole cruise. Frank was wonderful! We saw sea lions almost immediately, otters and then so many grey whales! If we could have stayed all day we would have! Unbelievable experience. It even gave us time left in port to explore town and shop after. 100/10 recommend.

Great Sitka excursion! - Our group of 6 enjoyed this trip as we saw whales, sea lions, sea otters and eagles. Captain Frank did a great job of getting us on the whales and he provided great dialogue on the history of the area. Really enjoyable day!

A good experience - but be aware that it's a small boat! - I was really excited to go on this small boat tour, with the ability to get closer to whales and wildlife. Captain Frank was amazing! He was full of interesting information and stories, and I was lucky to get to chat with him a lot since I was sitting right by him. You could tell he truly loves what he does and cared about our experience. There were only 5 people on our boat - me and 2 couples. It turned out that some of the other people did not realize it was a small boat tour. Two of them were obviously very disturbed by being in a small boat on the ocean, and most unfortunately, 3 out of the 4 other people on the tour experienced sea sickness. Captain Frank made it clear that everyone's comfort was the most important thing. He made some changes to the tour, after confirming with everyone that we were alright with that. Due to this, we did not go out to open waters and also ended the tour 20 minutes early. We did see some wildlife, but this definitely affected how much we were able to see. This was very disappointing to me, as I felt fine because I had taken precautions to avoid getting seasick. It was a really tough situation, because it's no one's fault. I'm not sure what the right answer is in a situation like that. We all wanted to ensure everyone's comfort as much as possible, so of course, we agreed to make those changes to do so. At the same time, it was a disappointment for me. I contacted the company, and they were helpful in working with me to make me happy. That's good customer service. I would recommend this tour, as long as you're aware that it's a small boat! I really think that the full tour would have been an amazing experience.

No whales. Only saw sea lions a buoy. - The driver of the small boat went extremely fast for a small boat. It was not a pleasant ride, plus not seeing any whales was a bummer. I am not even sure there were whales in the area we went to. It was a waste of time and money. Wish we did a different excursion.!
