Superb day and an amazing experience - A great tour. Fun and exciting. Our guide Martin was personable and very experienced. His instruction was top notch. He made everyone feel safe and inspired confidence. He gave us all the opportunity to step safely out of our individual comfort zones and feel a sense of accomplishment. Highly recommend this glacier experience

Glacier hike - This was our first outing in Iceland and it was AWESOME! Julia was our tour guide and you could tell she REALLY loves what she does, which made it that much more enjoyable. Her nuggets of information about glaciers were super helpful to really envision what we were hiking on and she paced the tour to the level of hikers in our group perfectly. She is even a great photographer and offered to take pictures of us and gave us plenty of time to take photos. The tour and company itself seem super well organized and friendly.

MUST DO WHILE VISITING ICELAND!!! - We had the most incredible tour hiking the glacier! It was a very easy hike with incredible views and guides than explained the history and formation of the glacier. 10/10 experience.

Two thumbs up. - We (two parents and two kids (11 and 8)) had the best time on this tour with Martin. It was well organized and Martin was fun, knowledgeable and a good teacher for us first timers with crampons. We all agreed it was the highlight of our 10 days in Iceland. We would do it again in a heartbeat.

Incredible adventure that we'll never forget! - This was an amazing experience that everyone should have when they venture to Iceland. At times, mostly uphill sections, it was slightly challenging. But that was more about our level of fitness and not the experience. The tour guide was patient and considerate of everyone in the group. We learned a lot about glaciers and we loved it! The guide was great to demonstrate how to properly use crampons. We were also able to drink glacier water. On the way back, the guide even recommended a local restaurant that we stopped at later.

A very good experience. - Buen tour. They take you by bus to an area near the glacier, then a 20-minute walk, with some explanation and technical stop to put on the crampons, and walk on the glacier for about an hour. I think it's very worth it.

Not as expected - We didn’t end up going on this activity- despite driving 3 hours just for this booking. It’s advertised as family friendly, but the level of experience needed and the gear required are for experienced climbers. Also they do require specific attire (boots, specific type of waterproof clothing) that was not clear to us beforehand. We had to rent some of this gear and when we decided not to go on the hike (about 10 minutes after we rented gear) we were not given a refund for the gear. The guide was unfriendly and started the orientation by telling the group “I’m not turning around for you if you’re cold.” Totally makes sense to set expectations before an activity, but they should have been communicated in the advertising for this activity, rather than rudely right before the hike. We were so turned off we felt that losing the ~$300 we’d spent was a better option than doing the tour.
