Great educational tour. - Our tour guide was Chris. He was so knowledgable I was happy we were on this tour as compared to the tour I thought I had enrolled in. I thought we were to be on the train tour but soon realized I was incorrect. Chris told us such amazing history of Skagway and the gold miners who had to endure the elements. Thank you again!

White Pass without the Train. - Guide, Chris, provided the narration & driving for an excellent tour Same tour as train in Skagway, but without the train, plus we stopped along the way to take pictures, which you cannot do on train.

Service beyond expectations - My partner and I travelled to Alaska in September 2024 and were due to take this excursion Sept 18. Unfortunately, our Holland America ship, due to bad weather, was unable to dock in Skagway. Depression set in, as we were all dressed up and ready to hit the road and with this announcement knew our booking fee was lost. We immediately sent an email to the Operator explaining our circumstances, how sorry we were to have missed such a special day and fully understanding there would be no refund due to the 24hr cancellation policy.. Not 10 minutes later, the Operator responded saying our booking fee would be refunded and how he appreciated our comments - 'better luck next time' etc. To say we were surprised is a massive understatement. To say we were appreciative is again an understatement. These people didn't have to make a refund - the policy is quite clear. We were disappointed but prepared to take it on the chin, Instead, they were gracious, and understanding and processed our refund within the hour. This shows a true moral and ethical value of their customers and I wish we could say we'd be back to try again however, Alaska, for these sun-kissed Aussies is just far too cold. We will however strongly recommend this excursion to any of our friends planning a visit to Skagway.

Best part of our weeks vacay - Possibly the best part of our trip. Chris, our guide was absolutely amazing. A wealth of knowledge. Tour cost much less than the train and you saw the same thing.

White pass rail, sled dogs and panning for gold. - We took the White Pass, Sled Dogs, and Gold panning tour from NCL. The views on the train are amazing. You will take lots of pictures. After the train ride, we went to see the sledding dogs and play with the puppies. We also learned about the 100 mile sledding competition they have every year. We then, learned how to pan for gold. We even came home with flakes of real gold. My 5 flakes are worth $17. This was one of the best excursion we were on. Tumbleweed was the best tour guide!! So knowledgeable and so funny!! Give Tumbleweed 5 stars!!

Better than a train tour! - This was by far one of the best things we did in Alaska! Out guide, Chris, was a wealth of information, was funny and answered all questions we had. He made a perfect tour even better! I have recommended this tour to everyone. As a photographer I LOVED the photo ops and that we were not rushed at all. I will continue to recommend this tour to everyone!

great scenery - The White Pass train trip was fun - the scenery was good. The train stops right by the cruise ship port, so it was easy to find. Definitely worth doing.

Decent tour of the Klondike - This tour from Skagway is good and efficient. They go from the main street or pick you up from the cruise ship. They take you up the pass and stop on the way for photo ops. You see the train running on the side and waterfalls all around. For a short time you cross into Canada. On the way back they stop at the gold rush cemetery and you can do a walkabout (and see more waterfalls and the gold rush graves)
