AMAZING! Book if you haven’t already! Fantastic off-road carriage ride and afternoon tea! - Absolutely wonderful, no faults! I received a call the evening before to confirm everything & to check for any dietary requirements and also to ensure I knew where to go. Found the location with ease and was greeted on time. We were given blankets to keep us warm which was a nice touch. The ride was peaceful and scenic, you could almost convince yourself that roads and cars didn’t exist! We learnt so much about the estate, the history of the area and the wildlife, as well as the touching stories about the rescue horses. Really glad to know the horses now have good lives with you, and that we were lucky enough to meet the lovely Ben, the most gentle of horses. After the carriage ride, we were taken back to the meeting point and into the tea room for our afternoon tea. Everything was set up for us and we could help ourselves to a range of hot drinks (or squash). The selection of food was fantastic and there was plenty of it - so much so that we took our scones away for a treat later on. Thank you so much for making our Nanna’s 80th birthday one to remember.

From 7 years old to 65 years old and we all loved it. Whatever the weather. - For all the family...a great afternoon ,we had two carriages my 3 grandchildren sat at the front they loved it.Stopping half where for a hot drink..kids chose hot chocolate and marshmellows i had coffee. We saw a shepherd who was training his sheepdog ,he did a display for us,how lucky was that. On returning afternoon tea was all ready for us sandwiches cakes salad coleslaw crisps..a perfect ending . Sandwiches were delicious by the way,all presented so well. Can recommend whatever the weather ,we all loved it.

Perfect day. - Booked this as a suprise for Mum and was so glad we did. We arrived early and was shown to a beautiful tea room where we could have a coffee whilst we waited for our carriage to be ready. The team room also offers afternoon tea, ploughman’s lunch and other home made delights. The carriage ride was so serene through lovely countryside, listening to the clip clop of the horses hooves. Our driver was really nice and welcoming and our carriage was pulled by the most beautiful horse called Otto. We stopped half way for a warm drink, and was given various options from coffee, a wide selection of teas but we all opted for hot chocolate with whipped cream and marshmallows before making the journey back. We met a couple of the other horses Snowy and Jimmy and our host told us their history. It’s obvious that horses are his passion and they are so well looked after and loved. I would highly recommend this to anyone. The little village of Skipworth is really quaint with a beautiful church, stunning scenery and lovely little pub for a quick drink on the way home. Thank you for making our day really special. Xx

A relaxing hour in the Countryside and a scrumptious cream team - We had a most enjoyable hour riding through the countryside, stopping for a drink halfway through. It was very relaxing as we were blessed with sunshine and the trees were changing colour. The tea was lovely with plenty to eat. Excellent communication throughout the booking process. Highly recommended.

Amazing Experience at the Little Skipwith carriage ride - The carriage ride was a nice experience. Hercules and Arthur were amazing ponies/ horses. The 1-hour ride through the farmlands of Little Skipwith were serene and the atmosphere was peaceful. The lunch menu was very decent and satisfying. Anyone visiting York should definitely visit the Little Skipwith Undercarriage ride for a solemn experience through the cottage.
