- Lundagard Park - In the park Lundagård there are some easily overlooked but historically important monument. Called Rune stones, the small monuments where put up by Vikings at the time of the foundation of Lund around year 970. The guide tells you about them and Lund’s Viking legacy.

- HSB Turning Torso - The main landmark of Malmö is Scandinavia’s tallest skyscraper. Designed by Santiago Calatrava, one of the biggest names in contemporary architecture around the world, it stands as a symbol of Malmö and its radical change from just a couple of decades before. The modern residential area around the Turning Torso follows suit, with a view across the water to Denmark.
Entry into the Turning Torso is only for residents and not possible during the tour.
- Malmo Saluhall - Malmö Food Court is both an architectural landmark and an excellent place for lunch. The options include cuisines from Sweden and around the world. One of very few places in Malmö that serves good Swedish meatballs.
- St. Petri (St. Peter’s Church) - Despite being modern in approach, Malmö has an old church too. As you will learn, Malmö is just not very sentimental about it.
- Stortorget - Walk around Malmö Old Town. See the mix of old and new, and learn about how Malmö became Swedish instead of Danish in the first place.
- Little Square - The Little Square holds many building preserved from centuries long past, and is the true representtaion of old Malmö.
- Kungsparken - Malmö has the nickname Sweden’s Town of Parks, and the King’s Park is the pride of them all. Built for rich factory owners in the industrial era, it sports plenty exotic plants, but is now open for everyone.
- Malmohus castle - Malmö’s Danish era castle is today the city’s museums. Even without going in it can tell about a distant past time when Malmö played in high politics and started a civil war against the king, or a less distant past when the museum closed to take Holocaust refugees.
- Malmo Live Concert Hall - While walking through Malmö you pass by Malmö Live, a modern building with a center for finer culture & a concert hall. It has a big collection of sculptures both inside and outside.

The guide will meet you at Malmö Central Station to board our air-conditioned bus. We are a small group of 6 people who will take us to Lund. Arriving in Lund, we learn about the Vikings, who founded the town more than a thousand years ago, and see several of their monumental Rune Stones. This is followed by looking at part of the University and the goofy student events that the entire place centres on today. We finish off Lund by a visit to the mediaeval Lund cathedral, once the seat of the largest Christian archdiocese in the world, before we head off to Malmö. There you have lunch at your restaurant of choice in Malmö Saluhall, itself a landmark.
After lunch we hear the story of Malmö, a place that is the constant underdog. Malmö painstakingly works its way up to be wealthy and important, only to crash as the rug is pulled from beneath its feet, for the process to start all over again. Read more on our website.
