Petrovaradin Fortress - Petrovaradin Fortress is 9 km from Sremski Karlovci and just 3 km from Novi Sad. It is the oldest preserved fortification on the Danube River, built during the reign of Queen Maria Teresa, originally built to defend from the Ottoman Turks and today home of a lot of summer festivals and events, like the most famous Exit Festival.
Name of Mary Church - We will continue our way to Novi Sad and visit the most beautiful sites in the city. Novi Sad was the center of Serbian culture for a long time. Sometimes it is called the Serbian Athens and is a city of art, science, and entertainment.
Novi Sad Synagogue - We will stroll through the city center and probably visit the Synagogue. More than 4,000 Jews lived in Novi Sad before the Second World War. Only about 1,000 of them survived the Holocaust. Many moved to Israel after the war. An estimated 400 Jews are living in Novi Sad today. Today, the synagogue is not used for religious ceremonies, but it is used for many cultural concerts and events.
