Amazing experience - Amazing experience strolling through Matka Canyon on a boat! It was interesting to go by cable car up to the Vodno mountain to Millinium Cross and observation area. Thank you to our guide Matej!

Great tour with cozy tour guide! - We had a great day through all the wonderful things to see and our tour guide Alek. Mornings you meet at the location and we were lucky enough to be a small group which made it a lot more personal. We drove past a bakery where we got borek and drinks from our guide. A truly traditional dish from Macedonia. Along the way, Alek told us all about the area, how people live here, the history of North Macedonia and about his own life! Once you arrive at the lake you can take a boat tour and visit a cave for a few euros (note that is the one-hour tour, otherwise you will not pass the cave!). After this stop we went to the church, this is nice to see and even one of the oldest churches in Macedonia. After this we went to the cable car where you have a beautiful view over the mountains and the city. Note that you have to pay for the cable car yourself, just like for the boat. We were back a little later than expected but that was no problem because we had a very nice day with lots of fun and lots of interesting stories from the guide! I would definitely recommend this tour!

Great way to spend your day away from the city - Oliver was great! He managed the whole tour and we were able to do everything. The inly confusing part was the starting time of the tour as I remember choosing 9:30 but it was actually at 9:00 am .. the good thing is that I asked them one day before to confirm. Also the tour took much longer time than 4 hours we ended it around 4 pm so make sure you have enough time.

Top top top - First congratulate the Guide, Demir, as he left us all in the group with much more knowledge about the city and country. Fantastic visits to the top of the mountain and the Matka Canyon.

Very well organised tour - This tour was led by Demir (apologies for the spelling) who was very friendly and insightful. He provided all the information about the places we visited and added his own personal experience in his story telling. The places visited were beautiful, particularly Matka Canyon. I would certainly recommend this tour and the tour guide.

Skopje half day trip - Visited the Millennium Cross and a monastery, both are interesting to have a look. Though the cross is just a piece of steel frame work lack of maintenance. The canyon is a reservoir, it’s more of a reflection of the city history than a sensory spot.

Natural beauty close to Skopje - Alex, our guide, was great, it was worth the price of the tour to hear his insights into Macedonian and Balkan history and culture which he regailed us with, very humourously, as we travelled! The boat trip up the canyon was beautiful, and fascinating to visit the cave. There was supposed to be time for a coffee before we moved on, but the service was too slow. The visit to the church was interesting with a lovely view. We could not go up on the cable car to see the cross (as it was the last Tuesday in the month 🤔) but went to a viewpoint over the city which was ok. Overall a worthwhile trip, maybe slightly too long. We got back at about 15.30.

Beautiful nature wherever you look - After a reasonable walk the reaches the part where you can take the boat to the cave and sail through the gorge. Neatly cared for with some stalls with souvenirs and water etc along the way, but a reasonable walk so for the disabled it can be challenging. Also the road to it are boulders. Not recommended for strollers and wheelchairs. The trip by drill through the gorge is beautiful, we only sailed through the gorge and to the cave. You sail between the mountains through beautiful clear water. Our expectation was that we would see a lot of butterflies. There were none. So September is not the season in any case. Parking? Which it at the beginning, if you drive to the end the chances of it succeeding are very small. And if it works, very tight. Toilet possibility only possible at the beginning - consumption then mandatory -

Ok trip. - This is a reasonable trip. Beware that the boat trip costs denar 500 each and they don’t take cards. The guide was fine, knowledgeable. The trip ran from 9am to 3pm without any stop for lunch. We had 30 mins at the canyon but the guide warned that wasn’t enough time to get food. Toilets are scarce and cost denar 60 each, with no change, at the canyon. Could be planned a bit better and more consideration for logistics, but it was OK.
