Amazing - The experience of making our own batik was amazing but also difficult. They show you how to make the handmade batik from start to finnish. Starting from the print and waxing to the colouring and cooking of the fabrick. We are giving 5 stars, because they also help the People in poverty around them, by giving lessons in making batik to sell.

Relaxing, fun and interesting - It was a lovely experience. We enjoyed ourselves drawing out our pictures and then waxing before colouring. The teacher was so helpful and pleasant. While our batiks were drying we saw the nearby Buddhist temple with our English speaking guide. Thoroughly recommend this.

Very authentic and creative way to learn Batik making in a very traditional way. - It's about 35 minutes from Malioboro, Yokyakarta, close to the Prambanan Temple. I rented a car with my dad to go there and spent around 3 - 4 hours drawing and waxing and painting. It's beautiful experience, especially the lady teacher was so knowledgable and showed me so many of her own professional designs, traditional and modern. She doesn't only teach but also produce and have program for the village ladies who want to learn and eventually sell their creation. I was always acompanied by her team from start to finish. I already prepared what I wanted to draw (turtle), and you can easily combine this program with visiting the Prambanan and other close by temple. Even they have the cycling in the rice fields near by. Thank you for being such a accommodating hosts, I truely enjoy the experience.
