Bike tour with visit to Prambanan and Borobudur. Excellent tour with Alga. Very good people. Just like your drivers - Very happy to have made with Alga and its drivers the excursion in Yogyakarta. We visited the two temples in addition to some local tour manufacturing, honey... Vida rural en Yogy. We liked it.

Great way to visit Yogyakarta in a day - My brother and I really enjoyed the whole experience. Alga was very accommodating and suggested the best way to tour around Borobudur and Prambanan temples with the bike tour in between. Our driver throughout the trip, Jack, was very hospitable and even brought us to some other temples near the area. Aside from our actual tour of Prambanan and Borobudur, the bike tour around villages was a great way to learn about some of the local industries and a peek into the daily lives of families working in the local industries. The biker tour guide ( sorry I forgot the name :( ) shared stories about the history of these local industries and how Alga Tours helps by partnering with them. Overall, this tour really made our stay in Yogyakarta very memorable.
Sharing some tips:
- I did some research and eventually came across Alga Tours website which includes a WhatsApp contact option. I directly talked with Alga via WhatsApp ahead of our trip and finalized the tour. I think directly talking to the tour provider (I did since it is vetted in TripAdvisor through reviews) can end up with some savings instead of booking via online platforms. Note, this might be a case to case basis so better do some research.
- If you prefer to avoid the intense heat, I suggest you visit Borobudur during sunset (book the last timeslot at 15:30).
- The bike tour is best done in the early morning while the sun has not fully risen yet.

Cycling tour and prambanan - We booked the cycling tour and parmabanan temple visit with the tour guide.
The cycle tour through the village and rice fields was really nice and we visited many things on the way, such as nut chips making, tofu factory, bee keeper and a temple.
The guide picked us up in yogja and drove us to the village and Prambanan. Punctual and friendly.
These two activities are good to combine from yogja for a day out.

A MUST DO. Become a local for the day - This was absolutely incredible. I was blown away by the professionalism, dedication and enthusiasm. Seeing such a beautiful part of Indonesia with such a knowledgeable and passionate crew made my wife and I really feel a part of the community. There is no way I could imagine being able to recommend this enough.

Great trip - Awesome day organised by Alga. Everything went smoothly from our intial WhatsApp conversation to the actual trip itself. The highlight of the trip was the bicycle tour around the villages in the Prambanan area where we got to catch a glimpse of local life - making emping crackers, making tofu as well as tasting honey from a stingless bee hive. Would recommend!

Alga lova is the best. Amazing , flexible , trust worthy , safe - Alga customized the 3 day itenary many times over as our itenary changed
We were family if 5 and 4 friends - out of this 5 teenagers
Alga covered all points beautifully, sunrise, borbudur, Prambanan , Ramayana show, biking fir kids and shopping for the ladies
Alga booked all our tours by himself and charged when we arrived
When our flight got moved by a day he called the hotel and rearranged the entire trip
Completely trust worthy and came with us everywhere
Bone tour was lot of fun and the boy’s experienced local culture
Drivers Augus and Jacky were so kind and patient with us

Absolutely amazing experience! Do not miss this Bike tour if visiting Yogyakarta - Bike tour is one of our memories intake from Yogyakarta! At the begging I was not sure if it was the typical touristic attraction. However, this exceeded our expectations and definitely it is one of the best activity options we could have chosen! Alga rode us through the town, where we could met people and stop in their houses to understand what they do and how they live. Believe me, it changed our mind and brought us to the real local life, where we understood their culture and works.
This activity should be a must for all tourists visiting the area!!!
Thanks Alga for such an amazing experience. We are looking forward to visiting you again!
