Pahova Salt Mines and SERVE Winery, Chictura , Romania - A day with Petre today in our trip to the salt mine in Prahova and the SERVE Winery in Chictura, both in Romania was immensely satisfying. Petre's easy going nature and the knowledge of the places made our trip into an amazing experience. The seven hours with him brought out some interesting exchanges of knowledge and experience. I would highly recommend the services of Petre for those planning to visit Romania. We for sure plan to be back in Sep 2025 and will visit some other places which we missed out with Petre around. Thank you Petre. Stsy blessed.

A must-see attraction! - AMAZINGLY HUGE! The salt mine was nothing like I had expected because I had not seen any photos prior to visiting. They drive you deep into the mountain in a van. When you walk into the mine itself, you are free to roam around as long as you wish. It is a huge place with beautiful patterns in the salt walls and ceilings. There is a small gift shop (if they used their imaginations a bit more, there are a lot of items they could sell, but it is limited to mostly cooking seasonings. That is quite disappointing.),cafes, and lots of places for kids to play. It is quite different from any other salt mine that I have been in before. It is a very popular attraction and a must-see if you are in the area.

Unrealistic and Giant - I was really surprised these salt mines were built by humans. Giant area inside rocks 120m under the surface. Good place to walk, sport, rest. Fantastic atmosphere

Very impressive but management not to my taste - The place is very untouristy. We only met local people. The mine is very impressive to look at but not managed as I imagined. They take you within 200 meters and then leave you there without any explanation or brochure to tell you the story. Inside there is a bar, a bathroom, ping pong tables, billiards, inflatables, a planetarium, all for a fee but in my opinion it has little to do with the mine. They created an underground amusement park. The fact remains, however, that the place is very suggestive
