Comprehensive tour of stunning Antigua - I only had limited time to explore the stunning Antigua so opted for a Hike N Drive tour with Trek Tours. It was a perfect fit for what I was wanting to do. My guide Dwight picked me up at my hotel in the northwest side of the island and we ended up doing a drive all the way to the south side of the island for the Shirley Heights hike as well as exploring the English Harbor area and the culture museum stop. On the way back we came via the rain forest and some quaint colorful villages. So this half-day tour gave me a pretty comprehensive glimpse of much of Antigua. The hike up to Shirley Heights was spectacular with panoramic views of the sea shore and the harbor and the various inlets, and the outlying islands. Dwight made this tour even more special with his extensive knowledge and passion about Antigua, and his flexibility is reorienting the tour so we could avoid heavy downpours at times in certain sections of the island. Special thanks to him also for showing me some sights very relevant for a cricket fan, and driving through St. Johns for me to get a quick view of the capital city as well as the iconic Antigua Recreation Ground ! I highly recommend Trek Tours for a wonderful exploration of Antigua.

Wonderful hike - Wonderful hike, and Barry was very patient and interactive. It was a comfortable experience. Highly recommended. Even this more challenging hike is achievable for many with the patience exuded.

We climbed to top of Boggy Peak and it was beautiful and super enjoyable! - Very great trip and guide was very friendly and knowledgeable!! We enjoyed learning about he plants on the trail and also history of the island.

Beautifull Hike & scenery - This hike was worth it, I would do this again. I always bring my water shoes to dip my toes in. Our guide Barry was great - he had some good history facts and was really personable. Thanks Barry it was great meeting you & loved the wonderfull experience!!

The best way to experience an Antiguan sunset! - The hike was brilliant! We did the sunset hike up to Shirley Heights and it was just perfect! Our guides (Rick and Michelle) were hilarious and they were great company! They were compassionate: we moved at a pace that was good for us and they allowed us to take as many breaks as needed. And as it turns out, Rick is a great photographer too so thanks to him for the photos! WHEN I return to Antigua, I will definitely do more hikes!

Antigua Hike - I wanted to see a different side of Antigua other than the beaches so the hike fitted the bill. The pick up was prompt and it took no time to get to the trail head. The hike was not too strenuous through the forest. The guide and I chatted away and it made the time fly by. The views from the top were amazing. So sad that the Government is not invested in maintaining these areas and leaving it to local people.

Beautiful view but tricky hike - Barry was a great guide for my husband and me. He was very patient with my needing to stop along the way. I would say this is moderate to difficult. It is very steep and rocky. The view is wonderful once you get to the top. Coming down is tricky because of the rocks and washed out areas. The oppressive heat and humidity doesn't help. I wouldn't recommend this unless you're in really good shape.
