Paradise cave, situated in the heart of Phong Nha – Ke bang National Park, holds the title of Asia’s longest dry cave. With its untouched natural beauty, Paradise Cave attracts visitors with its picturesque scenery, reminiscent of an exquisite landscape painting, since it was first introduced to the public in 2010. As stated by cave explorers or spelunkers, the deeper one delves into the cave, the stronger the sense of divine purity becomes. The cave’s dimensions can escalate to a height of 72 meters and a width of 150 meters.
Phong Nha Cave doesn’t merely stand as a global natural legacy. It also symbolizes a historical relic of the Ho Chi Minh trail during the US war. It conveniently camouflaged floating bridges from targeted bombings, revealing them only under the cover of night. These floating bridges were crucial in facilitating the north-south supply chain by enabling supply trucks to traverse rivers. In addition to its strategic role, it also functioned as a wartime hospital, complete with weapons mounted at its entrance.
